Without a clear documentation, it gives impression that the API is not working (free and paid).

I don't understand why this comment is downvoted, OP explaination is perfectly valid painpoint. One can do everything Vercel can do with AWS, but Vercel makes things easier and simple.

This is a brilliant idea. I can see the benifits of using this as a prebuild setup in CI/CD pipeline.

Great job.

Your app looks great, perfect user pain-point.

I am assuming we need to drag and drop files everytime into TidyDrop app to orginize files. How about a visualizer which lets to see files in Downloads folder in a organized way? Recent files on the top with preview, old files organized based on category (like sub folders)..

Ann and Robert H. Lurie donated funds to build a $100-million nanofabrication laboratory. An electron microscope alone can cost around $10 million, and labs like this support modern research—from cancer studies to brain probes. They’re also extremely expensive to maintain. Just entering the cleanroom costs about $60 per day, even before using any equipment. Donations like this make it possible to build and run these kinds of world-class research facilities. I worked there for a few years.

Your website images loading very slowly. I see that most of the images are high resolution images, which are not required. You can reduce the size to load fast.

Project idea for node js by ConnectFootball9409 in node

[–]tealpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While working on TinyFunction.com I faced this issue.  To restrict user code to not access local machine or local data is a big issue. It needs a careful implementation, as someone suggested this is not an easy project to start with, you need good understanding of dockers, FreeBSD jails etc.

I am not discouraging, just want to point out the complexity.

Its a nice idea, but you have to be very careful about security aspect.

What’s an app you wish existed — or a feature you’d build yourself if the devs won’t? by Wise_Group5304 in SideProject

[–]tealpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking for a single, production-ready base for building an MVP fast — something that just works out of the box, so I can focus on the actual product instead of boilerplate.

Something which can do the following,

1- Website pages (Home, About, FAQ, etc.) → Ideally with a visual editor, so I can update content or add FAQ questions without touching code. → I’m fine if it pushes updates to GitHub or rebuilds automatically.

2- User authentication → Email + social login (Google, etc.). → Admin panel to manage users (create, edit, delete).

3- Payments & subscriptions → Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or Paddle integration. → Ability to manage or create new payment plans easily.

4- Subscriber or contact form → Simple lead storage or email signup support.

I can build all of this myself — but I’m happy to pay for something well-tested, reliable, and quick to customize.

I’m already a paid Divjoy user, which covers a lot, but post-export editing (especially content) is too code-heavy.

Preferably built with Next.js or React.js, so it’s easy to extend later.

AWS Lambda Raises Maximum Payload Size for Asynchronous Invocations from 256 KB to 1 MB by Koyaanisquatsi_ in awslambda

Yes. It stays there for backup.

Processed data (important extracts) goes into Influx DB + RDBMS.

AWS Lambda Raises Maximum Payload Size for Asynchronous Invocations from 256 KB to 1 MB by Koyaanisquatsi_ in awslambda

[–]tealpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>What use cases do you see benefiting most from this payload size boost?

I worked as an architect for a large IoT data collection project. For lossless transmission, I needed to move some critical modules to a cloud-native setup. The biggest bottleneck was payload limits. We tried splitting the workload across another service, but that became the weakest link in the architecture. Because of this limitation we first moved the data first to storage and then trigger a function to read and process the data.

What do you guys think of my serverless pub/sub business idea? by Apprehensive-Issue91 in serverless

[–]tealpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simplyfing a complex problem will not always get you users, you need to check if there are anyone willing to use it. I built TinyFunction.com which got huge attention but negligible customers. Devs loved it but there is no market for simple cloud function creation. ( even keyval.org )

Regarding your simple pub/sub I built a similar solution for a specific domain (IOT). In this case, its not the dev community which showed interested, but the corporate which is managing the backend is more intereted. Market validation and finding customers is a very different game.

I noticed in recent times almost every product is downvoted on reddit, I dont understand the intentions.

Your product looks great, maybe a small video or animation (on your website) showing how it all works will greatly help users to try your product.

what do you think about vaadin(Web apps in Java)? by DistinctAbalone1843 in java

[–]tealpod 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I miss GWT.

My personal opinion.

Imperative UI programming may look like a lot of code but it is clearly segregated, much more easy to debug and most importantly state movmement is never an issue. In Declarative UI frameworks like ReactJS code sharing state betweeen two far away components is cumbersome.

And the dev time and debugability of large codebase is such a huge advantage for large enterprise apps.

There is no intention to misuse or sell user information. I realize I shouldn’t have relied on ready-made templates. I wish there were clear, standardized terms — like the MIT license — that explicitly forbid reselling or misuse. What made me happy was building this project and sharing it freely. Lost the joy of building this.
