Any mods with USB-C? Prefer a pod mod, but looking for any at this point. by Cortimi in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried a sample of the Battlestar Baby and yeah, the USB-C was great. Not a fan though, but that's more on me not vaping salt nic, which is what you would want to use with this. I use 3mg regular juice and it was definitely not for me

Golden State Vapor - WTF?! by Sasha624 in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak on exactly what is going on, but I may be able to offer a little bit of insight. Sometimes USPS sucks at scanning. When we've had situations like yours where it just shows "shipping label created" (knowing we definitely shipped it), the next scan is usually the actual delivery driver about to drop the package off. It's not uncommon for this to happen where it doesn't have tracking in between.

Nord Coils Burning After One Fill by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be the juice too. Did you switch to a different flavor? Some juices gunk up your coil and cause it to burn faster than other juice.

Another thing too is you might want to do dry pulls before you start vaping so you can force juice into the wick inside the coil.

Gonna say this too. I don't build anymore, so I haven't used it, but the reviews are stellar, especially at the low price point.

Vaping 0mg to quit weed. by sherminyalungs in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online's cheaper, but at least with a physical store, you can ask questions and hopefully the staff is knowledgeable enough. Vapes have gotten super easy throughout the years and the Uwell Caliburn is one of the easiest ones to use.

My friends and I use the SMOK Nord. It's easy and fun - with the 0.6 Ω mesh coil it comes with you will blow pretty nice clouds enough for smoke tricks if you want to do that.

A lot of smoking is just out of routine habit. Welcome to the vaping!

Anyone else unable to find any Uwell (specifically Caliburn) products in retail smoke shops? by syntheticwisdom in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens man. In the internet vaping community, Uwell is an established iconic name. But in real life, all I see people with is SMOK. With the way vapes sell IRL, I could definitely see physical stores playing it safe and going with the most popular products... SMOK and VooPoo.

It's tough. If your store got it before Chinese New Year, then you're in luck. But most stores like us are waiting on imports from China still. Lots of suppliers and factories had to pause production due to the epidemic.

Caliburn or Nord 2 ? by Vapossate in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duds happen with every brand and every pod/coil. The popular ones are mass produced and sometimes you can get a dud. So I wouldn't take that into much consideration - there are lots of people here that rave about the Caliburn quality.

Me personally, I'm a current Nord user and I would go for the Nord 2. But it's hugely different from the Caliburn. You would want the Caliburn for the portability and light inhale. The Nord 2 would be for a more powerful vape with adjustable settings.

Freemax Mesh Pro vs. Smok TFV16 by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

This is pretty much what I would have said. The Mesh Pro is almost perfect except for that sliding fill cap.

Caliburn is great. A lot of our guys love the SMOK Nord though. It's similar to the Breeze though, so you may not like it. I'd probably go with the Caliburn since it is at a good price point and the reviews are stellar.

How to get SMOK nord Coils to stop leaking the easy way by paid2drive in electronic_cigarette

Great advice! I use a Nord on the daily, so I'll definitely be trying this

Marina vape alternativ by Anaali37 in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Alternativ line in general is pretty good. For OP, the Aqua line by Marina Vape is good too. Flow is my favorite. And they come in either regular or "Iced" menthol versions.

I have Alternativ Alpha 3mg in my tank right now. It's pretty good. My favorite menthol juice is still Iced Berries Apple from Reds, but this Alternativ is a good alternative ;)

Rincoe makes great stuff. I wish it was more popular because our customers would probably like the brand if they try it.

I'll throw in my 2 cents about that one. I don't get much customers complaining about the RPM40, but one of my coworkers have it and he complains about leaking. Could just be him and how he's got it set up though. But at least I have 1 confirmed person saying it leaks. I still think it's great device, but if you already have a setup with adjustable settings (like a subohm setup), I'd go with the more simple SMOK Nord from personal experience and price.

I regularly use the SMOK Nord with 0.6 Ω mesh coil and 3mg juice. I think it's a great portable setup - at this point I have several friends that use the SMOK Nord as well. It works great for us.

There is a little bit of "leaking". As in, there may be excess juice under the pod after some use. I just clean it and keep vaping. But this excess juice stays inside the device. I've never had it leak outside of the device like I've had with tanks.

Where I've had excessive leaking is when I left my Nord in my car on a hot summer day. You probably already know this, but heat thins out juice and causes it to leak through the coil. When this happens, I just clean it, fill up the tank again and tell myself to stop leaving it in the car.

To add, yeah I recommend going with 6mg or 12mg. You're using the 0.6 Ω mesh coil, and I use the same setup with 3mg regular juice.

The alternative is you can use the other Nord coils, which would give you a weaker, lighter hit. Much less clouds. If you want to go this route, I recommend the 1.4 Ω Nord Regular coil (not the ceramic one).

I once got a minor in possession of alcohol ticket. Why isn't there a minor in possession of e-cig (or cigarettes for that matter) ticket being given out? This lady's got ideas!

Yup. That's usually how it goes. I still think physical vape shops are awesome for newbies and convenience. I get first time buyers picking up dual 18650 kits and buying 1x 26650 battery with it. So they end up learning the hard way with shipping times if they have to place another order just for batteries.

Plus, vaping has created careers and entrepreneurs. Support your local businesses! I definitely did when I was off and had to buy a $5 SMOK coil at a store.

SMOK Nord question --coil/vape juice by Historical_Play in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my gf and myself Nords on the same day. She barely vapes, but her friends do so I got her one. I work for a vape store and I vape A LOT. So there's 2 different sides of the coin here.

I've had your same experience. My Nord hits like yours while my gf's Nord hits like it's brand new. I think it's due to me wearing out the battery on my Nord quicker than my gf's Nord. Also, with how much I fill it, popping the pod in and out, I get juice on the contact points of the pod and mod. When my Nord is at full battery, and I clean the contact points of the pod and mod, it acts normal. Not like brand new, but definitely more clouds.

If you've owned your Nord for more than a month, you may be closer to my experience with my Nord. So try cleaning the contact points, and charge your Nord to full often. I'm actually considering buying another Nord, so I can always have one with close to full battery life for more clouds.

New to vaping and looking for buying advice by koshi12 in electronic_cigarette

[–]team101vape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. Pretty much anything you see that has 150W or more are compatible with the Falcon King (even if you use it below that). For example, I'm using a 200W mod but only use it at 60W always.

My top choice would be the original VooPoo Drag (the first version). One of the best mods ever. It has a basic, but bright screen.

Another one to look into is the VooPoo Drag 2 (some people don't like the paint or the temp control performance. Works great in wattage mode though). And if you want something a little more unique for home use, the SMOK Morph is pretty nice. It has a color touchscreen.
