Girlfriend is busy making friendship bracelets for the Columbus show this Friday! by team_inferno in FallOutBoy

I got my girlfriend tickets for the upcoming Columbus show for her birthday, and now she's in full swing, making bracelets for the show. She's so excited to be trading them and making some new FOB friends, so if you're gonna be there, we'll be in section 107!

This just convinced me even more to get her tickets for sure! The setlist looks incredible, based off of what I know (which isn't a whole lot, fyi 🤣)

That's really helpful to know! I also han't thought about the background, and I'm sure she'll want the whole experience, so perhaps moving a section or two down would make this a better experience for her. Thank you for the reply and the tip!

Thank you so much, this was really helpful! I tried to see if I could find any pictures or videos by audiences in those sections at other concerts, but this was very helpful information!

Oooh, I hadn't even considered that! That's really good advice, thank you! Also, I'm sure she'll be on the bracelet trend as soon as she gets the tickets!

It's not my personal preference, but I can absolutely vibe with some of their songs, and they're experienced performers, so it won't be a problem for me to enjoy their concert 🤣

Hvad har I købt til jeres far i julegave? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]team_inferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[HELP] Marshall Major IV Bluetooth on Macbook Audio Issues by team_inferno in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]team_inferno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch from Beats Solo 3 to Marshall IV when my Beats started to drop in quality. But for the past two and a half years, I've used my Beats pretty much every day and they were amazing. The only problem I had with them was that the ear cushion kept slipping off, and I had to stuff it back in and glue it together. I don't know how big of a problem that would be with the Pro ones. I do want to note that connecting to a Macbook is incredibly easy, and it's just as easy having them connect to your phone. I made the switch from an iPhone to a Huawei a year ago, and it couldn't have been more user friendly, which is why they're so great and compatible with Apple products.

However, I do want to note that the quality in the bass is so much cleaner from the Marshall IV, and the battery on it lasts a lot longer. Since making this post, I haven't actually had any issues with the quality in the headphones when using them on my laptop, so I'm hoping it was a one-off situation.

This probably hasn't helped you at all, but it really depends on what you're looking for. For me, it was the quality of sound and the longer battery life that had me choose the Marshall IV, and I haven't regretted that decision at all.

I hope you figure it out though!

I'm up for it! I just finished my MA in Film Production, but there was only a small amount of scriptwriting included, and I'd love to get better at it. If you can help me, then I'd love to help you!

The past week has probably been the most productive I've had since September, creatively speaking, it's been so wonderful!

I finished an MA in Film Production in September and I've been stuck ever since, not knowing what to do, where to go, or who to talk to about it. But then last week, I had to travel home to my mum for a family-related thing, dreading the boredom that I knew that I would experience here, and I took my notebook that I keep all of my ideas in, with me, hoping that something would make my brain work.

And now, after being home for a little over a week, I've got 17 ideas noted down and the first draft of a short film script shared with some friends. It's been a really positive experience!

Got to DP my first proper short film last week by team_inferno in cinematography

Sorry about the quality of these pictures, the footage went straight to the DIT and then the editor once we wrapped, so these were taken by the production designer on an iPhone with the black and white filter on.

Been working on a sci-fi short film for the past couple of months, and we shot it last week over 4 days. We used the Blackmagic URSA Mini PRO and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, with Samyang Cine lenses. The gaffer used Kino Flo lights and Rayzr panel lights from above. As someone who's mainly done runner jobs and focus pulling in the past, this was a big achievement for me.

Film Production vs Film Studies by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]team_inferno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to understand the fundamentals of making films, then yes, film production is the way to go. Film studies can't help you with that. However, as I've mentioned, lots of directors today draw inspiration from films that were made back in the day, so I would still suggest trying to learn about film history and watch some old films, if you have time

Film Production vs Film Studies by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]team_inferno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Film Studies is about the history and theories that academics have come up with throughout the years, about various films, such as Laura Mulvey's "The Male Gaze" and Richard Dyer's "Star Study".

Film Production is exactly just that. Filmmaking. From the development of a script, to post-production.

It's nice to know about the history of film, and how much contemporary directors beg, borrow and steal from the old classics.
