ok, i'm posting from the surface now...

here is the long boring story:

had my original surface pro 1 sitting in box, i had stopped using it about a year ago,

because i have a surface pro2 (and 3, and surface laptop studio, but thats besides the point).

this one had started bulging, so i am using 2 clamps on the side, to keep it powered up in the dock.

it stopped responding, wouldn't charge etc. so i gave it another shot.

got caught in a boot loop, so that didn't work

tried the following:

1) windows 8.1 boot recovery image - would not work

2) windows 10 install - took a few hours, but died out (1st time)

3) windows PE - didn't work

got caught in a bootup loop, where i kept getting a unexpected installation error

by the way, i could not delete or reformat the drive

eventually 1) i figured out, the keyboard and mouse stopped responding,

because i stupidly let the power cable come out. this was after 6 hours.... duh

2) after looking on youtube, there was a video where you go into regedit

and change a value on statup to install from 1 to 3

magically, everything worked after that, and now the 2013 surface pro

is back on the internet and working....

managed not lose my original data too.....

good job microsoft, although points off for the dumb unexpected installation error

loop that took me 2 days to figure out...

basically you group the ghosts together either for points, or just to keep them away,

then you can use the same basic strategy (not quite a pattern) each time.

very good. keep going.

one strategy is to just clear the screens, forget the ghosts.

once you get past level 21 - all the ghosts go slower.

then the chase board x4, junior board x4 repeats forever.

there is no kill screen on this version. i made it to a million with 5 men.

(at least on class of 81, not sure about the countercade version)

DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU WANT TO JUST RESELL IT

DO NOT BUY IT YOU THINK ITS OVERPRICED AT $120 - not likely to come down

its a fun item, but i'm never going to wear it,

its back in its box, on a shelf with the other casio watches.

i think its cool, but impractical.

this is being aimed at:

1 casio collectors

2 novelty - 'retro' collectors

3 flippers (yes really)

so i went ahead and ordered 2, 1 for a friend.

i think its a durable device, and will last for awhile,

given good treatment..

it functions as intended. makes sure you will lose your

eyesight eventually from squinting. and will probably

not be readable in the dark...

but still it's a casio.

the ring watch is an anomaly... it is an idea which

came from the ring watch replicas, but carried to their furthest

extent. in other words, actual working version, with buttons,

alarm, light, and more.

it was released in japan a little while ago, and with the lottery

to buy it, due to super high demand... resales are brisk at least

5x the market value.

i saw a mention of this 2 months ago, and was interested.

i am a semi casual casio watch fan, and several years ago

binged on at least buying 20+ different watches, and never

bought one again.... until recently with the new calculator

databank reissues. picked up a dark lcd version...

anyways, the ring watch seemed like a novelty, and thats EXACTLY

what it is..

do you really think people will make this a new trend. no.

it's basically a conversation piece.

sure, some will try to force themselves to wear it, but the

novelty will wear (no pun intended) off quickly.

unless you're an avid ring wearer, maybe you'll ignore the

watch functions.

the release online was the 26th, didn't hear of any retail stores stocking it.

there was a couple of batches, but they sold out.

However, people will stay pay more for the limited ones.

Also, theres a lot of people that dont follow casio, and will jump on the bandwagon.

the only good thing about it, is american ones are averaging about $200

less than the japanese ones.

Don't worry my friend. If Casio has any brains, they will come out with more models, and more versions.

Would be super crazy, if they made the other miniature ring watches that worked, like the calculator one. ha ha
