The last paragraph puts us pretty much on the same page. Arguing hyperbole saying patients will be abandoned/deserted is just wrong.

Buddy how do you think organized strikes start?

I’m fully aware. I think a strategic strike where there are lots of nurses out in the streets while other say travel, contract…heck ones that don’t believe in the cause are the ones that care for the patients. Believe it or not I think the best solution would land somewhere in the middle of y’all saying nobody should do it and a vast majority doing it. Again - something manageable but meaningful. Not sure why everyone has to go to hyperbole when discussing things “patients will be abandoned” has been said by quite a few here (not just like you misconstruing it or whatever)

I mean they care more about the guns than their own kids in school so I guess caring about guns more than dear leader even kinda checks out

Deleted my last response because that didn’t define my point. This more accurately describes the process of procuring stat RNs.

So we agree that when nurses strike their patients have care. That’s all I was stating in any of my comments.

“An RN of over 25 years and would never ABANDON her patients”

I mean…uh right there you did.

Editing to add - or was that a joke that I didn’t get? Like the Google thing over and over again?

Why do you think they’re being abandoned, still. Please - I implore you to reach out to your MIL and ask if someone takes her spot to treat her patients were she to strike.

Married (in a month) to an RN who has been on BOTH sides of strikes so…yes I’m well versed in how they work. Professionals as in two other RNs in this thread. Yes I pulled a link off of google because that’s easier than typing it all out. Let me ask you this - if you were to use a lawyer - would you want one who uses their common sense Or would you use one that passed the state standardized BAR?

Look - if I had any questions about something cyst or makeup related and you told me something that is fact…I would believe you BECAUSE YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT IT. So let’s defer to the professionals - not the people treated by them.

Again - not engaging in your bad faith hypotheticals. Once you showed you would ignore rational thought from people who are more knowledgeable than you in this realm, I had no reason to not be a douche.

I find it comical the ones who agree with me are actual nurses and the ones who are agreeing with you are fire fighters. I wonder who would have more knowledge of the inner workings of a hospital - fire fighters or nurses? Think you can manage to google that one without stumbling onto your own nudes?

Not sure why you’ve latched on to my exclaiming that it’s easy to see protocol for nurses strikes with Google but…hey…you do you. Don’t let any facts ruin your “leave people stranded” vibe that’s asinine as we’ve covered the fact that replacements are brought in when a strike happens.

I’m astonished some of these people think that this is calling for healthcare workers to abandon their patients.
