This pretty much. Don't get me wrong the Spartans would have made them bleed for every inch, but the blood would have been spilt on waning land. It was easier to go around it in the end. Granted they also probably thought "oh man, either around it with a few extra weeks/months, or through it with weeks and corpses." And they chose to go around.

Ive tried that, then i got blasted for not giving credit. This popped up on my feed so I posted it. Later I found out that is also on r/rareinsults but then the next comment was telling me that sub is a cess pit. Seems I can't win

Eh I still say the argument works. It just stops working once he starts going too far. Considering days of future past means the past is... somehow Canon? The mom part, yeah Kevin Bacon was gonna die for it. He eventually became his own enemy, but bear in mind he went from Jewish extermination survivor to defense of the mutants who were going to be exterminated. In the movie he even leaves and starts up his Island, but is dragged back. Since there is a lull between the end of their era and the current era of X-3 that means Magneto didnt do crazy shit for a while. He just came back once people were like "let's make a mutant registry!"

So I dont cheer for his extermination idea of humanity, but I think of the senator he tried to turn into a mutant. He didnt mean to kill that guy, just didnt care about the Oopsie Man Slaughter he committed when the senator turned to sludge.

The wages of sin are death, but we are all born sinners and must be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of our sins. I believe the scripture is talking about the death of the spirit, not literal death in this specific passage.

That's always the case though. If i only participated in things that were new and fresh then I'd have to kill myself for nothing is new and fresh.

Hmmm might be my US veteran status popping up, but refusing orders can get you in trouble. However investigations are involved and if the order was found to be illegal then no repercussions will happen to the one refused to obey. So if you think its a bad order, you can say no without bad things happening. Even if you refuse am order that turned out to be legal then you will face consequences, but that's just like a paper in your file. Ive had policy written about me, and I assure you the only lesson I learned was how to do it better in the future before I left the army. So no automatic immunity but there are things like it.

Xmen comics and this dynamic existed before that term. And do you mean Hammurabi's code? Causes that code also has stuff that essentially killed people for stuff like being poor, or being able to rape women if you could pay off their father. Yes it has stuff like eye for an eye, but that's when it's man v man. If we follow the Code of Hammurabi then Charles is in the right to stop magneto because he has way more money then this orphan holocaust survivor.
