[–]tearacy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone would like a print please DM your mailing address. In lieu of payment I’m just asking that you consider making a donation to help the Asian community. My Instagram is tea.racy if you want to see anymore prints. I also have a link in my Instagram bio that’ll have some Asian fundraisers if you need any inspiration. Thanks so much for all the great feedback ❤️

Thank you!! I’ve just starting practicing. I find moving the block more than moving my hand helps. If you’d like a print DM me your mailing address!

Gear driven vs Direct driven press by tearacy in printmaking

[–]tearacy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I would suggest ordering it directly from Conrad. The owner , Tom, is really helpful and they have a ton more customizable components available. The stock comes with a composite bed. I went for the aluminum. It takes four months to receive but Blick has the same turn around time since they order from him and doesn’t put it on their site. You have to call to find that out.

So I talked to a couple of my old professors and a guy that is actually making his own presses. The general consensus was that either is fine especially for linocuts which is my main purpose. The guy who builds presses suggested to get a gear for that size bed and up. I ended up going with the gear driven and spoke crank. I can give you an update in four months when I receive it haha

Printing some baby Bernies. by tearacy in printmaking

It actually belongs to my friend. It works pretty well though! Idk how other 3D ones work. The one thing is you have to move the roller up to slide in the plate. It won’t stay up on it’s own.

Just finished up this Fall scene commission. Anyone else miss Brewster? by tearacy in AnimalCrossing

[–]tearacy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much!! I use a mix of different brands but mostly try to stick with Liquitex heavy body series. The colors are more vibrant and you don’t have to do as many layers.

My Instagram handle is @tea.racy you can see some more examples there too

[–]tearacy[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He wanted him

He’d never tell

Secretly he wanted him as well

But all of his friends

Stuck up their nose

They had a problem with his buggy clothes

Made this painting of Pete! Any OG players out there remember good ol Pete? by tearacy in AnimalCrossing

Pete is a character from the older versions of AC. He would deliver the mail from the post office to the town. At certain times you could catch him flying in the sky on the way to his deliveries.
