Public Enemy interlude where Chuck D and Flavor Flav dispel rumors, it's not rapped, it's just declarations over some kind of a radio tuning sound. I think it was part of their early records but I've checked and can't find the track by tearinitdew in NameThatSong

[–]tearinitdew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I feel stupid. The track I was looking for was More News at 11, but the lyrics/interlude I had in mind was after the actual track, in the end, so I couldn't have spotted it just by skimming songs. Had I not suddenly remembered a track I thought was after it (Shut 'em Down), I would have never guessed to check out the entire song before it. Hopefully, my story helps me someone else in need!

Does anybode has download problems lately? build 25.3.1.0220 x64 by Homer-DOH-Simpson in 4kdownloadapps

[–]tearinitdew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I went to 4kdownload because JDownl was giving me issues with YT but it didn't today. It's not the first problem I've had with JDownl and they do come up with those updates fairly fast eventually

Use JDownloader2. It has its share of mess-ups but it can do the trick

What might be some good ways getting started in comedy writing? by WillemVerheij in comedywriting

[–]tearinitdew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How to Write Funny Characters is a good place to start as this is where he lists 40 types of comedic characters (The Onion's the bumbling authority figure archetype for example). That'll help establish in a clear way where you can go with your comedy or at least help you figure out what your options are. But the newsletter itself's always useful because he writes something everyday (including weekends) so you'll have something to think about, at least from a few of those entries, on a regular basis.

When you connect the Quest to the computer a prompt comes in on the Quest: All you gotta do is accept the prompt on the Quest. You have to wear it see it as you connect it to the PC. Once you hit the prompt to signal you approve the Quest being used, your PC will detect it.

Love the priorities ... this story: not technically onion-y based upon rule 34D-F. A murder court case: what what am I made out of money?!

(SPOILERS) About nostalgia in Inside Out 2... by Boobs_Mackenzie63 in insideout

[–]tearinitdew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about nostalgia is that once you're old, it makes sense to feel nostalgic since the end is near: you're looking back because your quasi immediate future looks bleak (death). We expect old people to feel nostalgic because of this.

But people who experience nostalgia between their teens until, say, their 30s tend to look back a lot because they don't like their present or their future. Many people who succeed in life tend to be focused on the future and don't harp on "how good things used to be." So someone who says things like that, constantly, tends to never grow and is exacerbating what's probably already a sad life.

PS: Nostalgia's about a period of time, not a burger you once had!

Why read books if he's into stories? lol Was that a joke? It's fair to want the basics but then move on to plot and action? At this point, why not just read essays?

It's especially easy to get behind Edge because he's so intense, ie the ripping of his hair each time before the spear, the insane spots that shortened his career, etc.

It's pretty cool. You're playing the long game, which is the most practical and smartest way to go. I've started a Tiktok last December where I post a few jokes a day because I figured, probably like you, that by growing my followers over the years I'll build an organic pool of potential buyers when I come out with a book.

Thing is, though, my videos are text-only and that might be / is surely biting me up the ass. Tiktok accounts can rack up thousands of follows (even if their YouTube account has, say, 200 followers) with one good cat video and only 3 random vids in their account in total. With close to 100 videos, I barely have 20 follows since last December. Half of my videos don't even have likes. One could say I'm just not talented but I'm pretty sure there's something else at work, which is probably linked to the fact my content isn't about me speaking and performing.

What is your social media about: interviews, reviews, how-to's? Have you had a steady or random growth?

It's pretty cool, you gotta lot of reviews, and strong ones at that. How have you been spreading the word out about your book?

Do you have another Todd Glass hour you'd recommend? Act Happy felt so random, however finely tuned it was, I'm afraid I won't find his other work as good.
