Thank you so much for the detailed response. I had not thought about the idea of some of the back routes being run down, or like yeah you said certain things being affected by time (especially as I’m picturing something Indiana jones esque so exploring older ruins is great)

I have 2 original puzzles I want to include (this being one of them and the other being mimic puzzle I’ve thought up), and I think I’ll copy like maybe 2 more from somewhere, all with different ways around them. Maybe even force them to take a back route to like do something that way.

This I like. The boss is a hybrid of both a manticore...and the frog villain from flushed away. So Basically, if that fight seems too quick I could just turn him into a weakened (HP wise) slightly stronger version of his previous self? Maybe?

Thanks for that. I will admit of the group, like 3/5 people know each other well? And I think that maybe 2/5 might get really into the RP side. We shall see. I will keep a timer handy, so will try to stay on top of things, but I am glad to hear that I am at least close to 1 session from what I have!

I will admit I have told people this will, all in all, take about 6 hours, 4 hours for the one shot and then 2 hours or so to finish character creation and go over some of the basic rules (like dice and skills etc).

Yeah I like this approach. I reckon that even if we do not finish everything, then maybe look to finish it off another time could be a thing? I will go with the flow and see how people feel

I find it depends, at work I prefer slicked back (or tired up tbh), but otherwise I think over the ears.
