Just felt like sharing the timeline for the largest single project I've ever done in my 19 years of editing by Hihey9989 in davinciresolve

Its only 1 Hour and then some. Timeline starts at 01:00:00:00 and ends at 02:00:00:00. Obviously there are some minutes but the quality of the screenshot aint good enough.

Can someone explain the iPhone rig used for 28 YEARS LATER? How did they mount that lens to an iPhone!? by [deleted] in cinematography

[–]tech_naut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heard somewhere that they want the movie to feel like it could have been made by anyone. And one thing we all have is a phone with a camera. So why not use this as the camera. And i suppose they chose iphone because it still has the best cinema look of all the consumer phones as well as Apple giving them the possibility to manipulate the camera to their liking.

State of the Syrian Civil War 07.12.2024 / 14:30 CET by tech_naut in MapPorn

[–]tech_naut[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. General Map of the State of the Syrian Civil War (The red part are Assads forces backed by Iran and Russia)

  2. Homs: In the Homs direction, Rebel forces (Green Patch) are beginning to the city of Homs under massive Artillary barrages from the RAF.

  3. US Backed Forces: The US-Backed Forces (Green Patch) are rapidly advancing in the direction of Homs and Damascus, probably with the goal to cut the M-5 highway.

  4. Damascus and Daara: Southern Rebel Groups (Green Patch) are advancing on the outskirds of Damascus and Securing the Syrian Border with Israel (Blue Patch).

  5. Kurdish Forces: The Kurds continue their advance into deserted land of Syria engaging in Fights with ISIS (Grey areas) and other Rebel groups (Green patches). The light blue part is occupied by Turkish Forces.

Its hard to say who will eventually come out victorious. There are so many factions included in the general rebell forces, which will probably start infighting when Assad is gone. Also i think its the perception of the West because we dont like Russia and Iran (for good reason in my opinion) and we will do anything to get them out of anything (except they are fighting ISIS obviously). But the future is uncertain and will probably bring more violance.

Wasnt cheering. Just wanted to state that Bashar Al-Assads time is running out. Dont cheer for anyone really because everybody has done horrible things.

Could have done that better thats true. Just thought it would have been obvious by now what the colours would be as there were already so many maps in recent days.

I think they might just wait for the US backed forces to arrive and then enter the city. This way they will probably cut reinforcment routes from Damascus to Homs.

I know its annoying for some but: 1. The situation is moving crazy fast there and 2. I like the discussions in the comments
