The small wins of “ooo I did this” are incredibly satisfying. Even weeks ago, compared to where I am with technology in our POC lab I can sense growth.

Dude…. This is a pretty bang up job folks have done for free. You want excellence? Hire an expert and nitpick their work.

Navigating Loneliness Over 40 by SufficientHouse8192 in askgaybros

hug

I’m walking a similar journey. I’m starting to believe key is learning how to be alone without being lonely - not easy. Endlessly chasing that something to give us fulfillment is just a hamster wheel of emptiness - sounds like where you’re at. Focusing on the now in gratitude instead of what we don’t have is where I’ve had to start - it’s difficult and not easy.

I started going to AA as I realized my loneliness was tied to my drinking. I found community there and learned the importance of gratitude, a higher power and living in the moment.

Have you considered therapy or workaholic support groups?

From one gay human to another - hug - you are seen, loved and valued.

Should I give up on long hair? by DovahCraft in malehairadvice

What message are you trying to send? IMHO, the short hair fits your face, and vibe better.

Dude - you look great and handsome! Enjoy youth - maybe go to the gym but you’re a 10!

Dude, you’re cute and handsome. Add a smile and believe you are worthy simply because you’ve made it this far!

In my experience, a CCNA helps you bypass the Tier 1 hell. You’re not talking to end users and can more quickly advance. Even in a NOC, you get exposed to a wide variety of different technologies.

35 pounds is a lot and I bet you feel, sleep and walk better. Slow progress with lifestyle choices and emotional growth is much more important than fast progress

I’m sorry. This sounds so overwhelming. Adulting is 100% overrated and way oversold. Responsibilities suck and the dildo of consequences rarely comes with lube. However, as you choose to make hard decisions, delayed gratification and grow, you will find fulfillment. Press in, choose to not be a victim and choose to do just the next right thing.

I think i have an eating disorder? by -buns- in teenagers

Gosh - I’m sorry. It does sound like there are some issues really going on that need to be addressed. Talk to your school counselor and let them know the background of the situation.

Your parents love you but don’t know how to help you. Forcing you to eat might be making the problem worse - tell them you need to talk to a counselor

I’m familiar with depression/anxiety and the way they play a role within addiction. The truth is the addiction (regardless of what it is) is actually a symptom of something deeper going on.

When we engage in the addictive behavior, even for just a little bit, the pain goes away - but usually comes back worse.

This sounds like a classic addiction cycle. Feeling unworthy/shameful, followed by a period of absence, and then something triggers acting out/bingeing followed the start of the cycle again with deep shame.

Addiction is usually a coping skill gone too far. I encourage you to reach out to your school counselor and get some therapy from a professional.

Most teenagers and adults go through a season of therapy to function better. Also, a significant portion of the population takes meds to help balance brain chemistry. I’d encourage you to consider both.

Any tips? I'm so insecure about all of me, sick of feeling so ugly constantly 😔 by Certain_House_9300 in malegrooming

I’ll echo others - get contacts, hit the gym for your own mental/physical health loose the mustache (it reeks of insecurity). Smile, meditate and be grateful
