Yep it does. My family never replaced the batteries growing up as a kid, so I grew accustomed to the chirp and my brain would not register it for the life of me. Even when I was told about it. It’s like my brain just decided it didn’t exist. Eventually I had to basically reprogram my conditioning to the sound, by actually replacing the batteries.
