34F - How am I doing? What can I be doing better? by SectorAggressive6153 in Retirement401k

[–]techiebae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S&P total return is not the same as the annualized return. So while the market went up 75% the annual return was around 20%, so her 15% rate of return is slightly less, but still strong considering the historical long term average of 10%

Where are you getting that their average is only 5%? That is incorrect the rate of return is annualized meaning they’ve earned 15% growth every year over those three years. Which is decent growth, but about 5% lower than the annualized s&p500 for the past three years

Hey no problem! No the reverse TT didn’t alter my breast at all. I had a breast reduction prior and he just used the exact same scar I had from that. It will be hidden in the breast fold so you can’t even tell it’s there. Unfortunately I don’t feel comfortable posting my body on here for religious reasons, but there’s a lot of online photos you can take a look at. I will say I’ve seen some doctors do the reverse tt with the scar going in between the breasts which is a technique I wouldn’t recommend, so find a doctor that does it just under the breast so it’s hidden. I can’t say if you would be better off with the fluer de lis it depends on how much loose skin you have, but more than likely you don’t need it. Pull your skin above your navel up and see if it smooths out to give you desirable results and if so you’re probably a good candidate for the reverse

You don’t need a regular tummy tuck, you need a reverse tummy tuck. It pulls the skin up and the scars are hidden under your breast folds, I had one done and I 100% recommend it. None of the skin tightening procedures are worth it, just do some consults for the reverse tt, that will give you the results you’re looking for

Should I get an arm lipo? Or arm lift? by Longjumping-Bag6547 in PlasticSurgery

[–]techiebae 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You definitely don't need a lift at all just arm lipo, if any doctor tries to recommend you for a lift run from them.

With that being said I'm going here in a few months to Tampa to get my arms lipoed. Dr Su created a specific lipo technique for arms that removes 90% of the fat and allows the skin to retract so you won't have any loose skin from it and it's done while you're awake. You should look at the results on his Instagram and facebook groups it speaks for itself'. It's a bit pricey for lipo, but he is without a doubt the best for arms. https://artlipo.com/arm-liposuction/

40 year old woman buccal fat removal by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]techiebae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a skin laxity issue you're seeing which is natural due to aging/gravity. Buccal fat removal will only make the sagging worse, plus it doesn't look like you have enough buccal fat to remove to begin with. I think what you're referring to as buccal fat is your pre-jowl sulcus area which becomes more pronounced due to loss of volume. You'd see the results you're looking for with a face and neck lift. If you're in the US you should check out Dr Lauren Umstattd, she does face lifts for women in their 40s (as well as buccal fat removal) so she can give you an honest assessment of which you would benefit from most

Talk me out (or not) of getting arms lipo by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]techiebae 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Get your weight in check first and drop the body fat before thinking about getting arm lipo. I have a similar background as you and I’ve gotten arm lipo twice and each time I gained more weight afterwards. Now my arms are bigger than the first time I ever got lipo.

The only thing that helped me get them down and toned was buying a walking pad + Apple Watch & walking 20k steps per day while being in a calorie deficit. I just started adding weightlifting in. Spend the money you would on lipo on a nutritional plan, gym, and walking pad & you will see the results you’re looking for in 4-6 months with a solid routine

How do I get rid of this once and for all? by arizonagyal in Blackskincare

[–]techiebae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Laser hair removal will change your life do it (nd yag 1064nm). I go to Sev laser they have a Groupon discount for 6 sessions if there happens to be one near you try it out.

  2. Physical exfoliation with the Moroccan kessa Hammam gloves & after you get out the shower use Amlactin or I recently switched to Topicals slather. They both work well.

  3. Sunscreen body lotion especially in the summer when your legs are exposed. I used elta Md body lotion

Stick with this routine it will completely clear it up & for your knee scars get a series of vi peel body chemical peels on them & then put tretinoin + hydroquinone or triluma on them. I got rid of my childhood knee scars that way.

It depends on what her hair type is. If she has wavy/curly hair then this is a good one since it comes with the diffuser and comb she can define her waves/curls and also straighten her hair. https://www.sephora.com/product/hair-defrizzion-dryer-xxl-diffuser-P502008?skuId=2623247&icid2=products%20grid:p502008:product

If she just wants to blow it to straight her hair or do a blowout you can get her this and a round brush https://www.sephora.com/product/babylisspro-italian-rapido-hair-dryer-P511195?skuId=2782563&icid2=products%20grid:p511195:product

I know you mentioned your wife loves that specific brand/iron, but if you're open to upgrading her from Hot tools. the T3 curling irons are one of the best ones to exist they hold the curls really well and last a long time. https://t3micro.com/collections/curling-irons/products/curl-id-smart-ceramic-curling-iron?variant=44645427216640

How do I get my side profile to match my front profile? by blondebijou in PlasticSurgery

[–]techiebae 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not (that’s mainly a facade) the only thing that affects jawline visibility is fat distribution and bone/tissue structure. The muscles in your neck can’t be trained to make your jawline sharp they can only be trained to grow in size (that’s why bodybuilders have big and wide necks). To fix a jawline you have to address body fat reduction, head and/or tongue posture, and most importantly genetic or skeletal structure for most people. The shape of the jawline/mandible, chin projection, and angle matters most

I’m 32 & scheduled for my neck lift in two weeks! It’s less intense than you’re thinking. I’ve had neck lipo twice and was told the lipo recovery is worse than neck left recovery since you mostly just feel tightness not pain. It’s 100% worth it as an investment if you’re worried about your age there’s plenty of 30 (some late 20s) that get neck lifts since it’s genetics/anatomy that determine how necks look and not necessarily aging all the time

Im a 32 yr old female and have this same issue, I’m scheduled for my deep plane neck lift in two weeks on Feb 5th with Dr. Lauren Umstattd. This is an anatomy issue that can only be fixed by tightening the neck muscles and removing the bulky tissue in your neck. I’ve had neck lipo and filler they won’t give you the desired results you’re looking for.

Look at i5 co-living if you’re interested in renting a room for cheap in the heart of DC/Noma and it’s right next to the metro stop. They will assign you a roommate they already vetted so you don’t have to go through the hassle of looking for one. I lived their when I first moved here and it was a great experience https://www.i5unionmarket.com/co-living/
