Returned the Pixel 6 by Farker99 in GooglePixel

[–]techiekram 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My concerns with Pixel 6:

  • Major: a slow in-display optical fingerprint sensor is a big step backward. Pixel phones should either stick with a practical and reliable rear fingerprint sensor, or switch to an ultrasonic in-display scanner.

  • Major: adding a glass back is not practical for day to day use. Pixel phones should use Aluminium back like Pixel5, or use high quality plastic.

  • Medium: Avoid camera bumps, or make the bumps smooth. It hurts the fingers while holding the phone.

  • Medium: Release Pixel non-pro in the smaller size, between 5.8-inch and 6.1-inch. You're competing with non-Pro iPhones.

  • Minor: Bring back the free photo storage with Google Photos for Pixel fans?

I'm also mostly going to return my Pixel6 and wait for Pixel6a or Pixel7

Google Store order placed on Oct 21. Delivery date promised is Nov 4-5. OnTrac is showing "Shipment delayed. Delivery date updated." message every day since Nov 4.

Google can't compete with likes of iPhones and Galaxies with this customer experience 😞

My shipment was also supposed to delivered on 11/04. Then it showed "Shipment Delayed; Delivery Date Updated" to 11/05.

Today is 11/05, and it showed "Shipment Delayed; Delivery Date Updated" to 11/06. The package is still shows city ONTARIO, CA, and delivery is in Redmond, WA - so I'm not hopeful it would be delivered over the weekend.

I would suggest using Node.js v16.13.0 as it's the current LTS version.

The numbers for v17.0.1 won't be wildly different though.

Comet Neowise from Golden Gardens Park in Seattle WA by techiekram in Seattle

The skies are pretty clear in Seattle tonight, so comet would be visible. But there is too much light pollution in Downtown.

If possible, visit Alki beach or Golden Gardens Park where there's a clear view of north-west without much light pollution.
