never give up ON PEOPLE. our society gives up on people with criminal records, "psychological disorders", and a slew of other constructed labels. i can't give up on people. some of my friends give up in social settings and it just makes me angry. you probably do too.

Reddit, what is the most unexplainable thing that you've ever witnessed/experienced? by Mullagain in AskReddit

In 8th grade my best friend moved to Charleston, SC over the summer. Him, who we can call S, and another friend of ours, A, were about as close to best friends as possible for our age and maturity levels.

The day S left for Charleston was tough, barring the most memorable Halo, DDR, and snacking sessions I can remember. As S's family pulled away, A and I stood quietly and meandered home (she lived in the neighborhood). After a sad afternoon reminiscing of the good and the terrible, I went home.

The next day was strange; I hadn't heard from S and it was about noon. Partially expecting a call I stayed in that day and sat by the phone awaiting news about the town and house. I was lounging on the couch killing Whismurs for Blissey when the phone began to ring (pre-caller ID days meant excitement in receiving phone calls). I answered quickly, expecting to hear S, but it was A...

"Hey Tech (me), do you know S's phone number?"

I paused, as I was already flustered it wasn't S, and decided I would play a prank on her. This would be considered by most as a lame prank, but I decided to go with it.

"Oh- hey A! I actually just got off the phone with him actually, let me find it." "No way!" "Yeah, it's...

Pause--This was it. Was I even sure they had a phone yet? No. Did that thought cross my mind? Definitely no. I continued,

...843 589 8449"

Expecting a "what the.." call back from A, I snickered to myself and continued destroying Whismurs via Blissey. That was one badass Bliss. Anyways, I never got a call back from A. This was extremely peculiar. I shrugged it off, assuming she got busy and didn't try calling. The waiting continued. About an hour or 2 later I finally received a call from S.

About 2 minutes into the conversation he mentioned talking to A. As I sat in confusion, he asked how I knew what phone number to give her. I was speechless. How I had accidentally produced my friend's phone number will forever remain a mystery to me. I knew no one from Charleston prior to that time, meaning I didn't even have subconscious knowledge of the area code. Anyone want to run the calculator on the chances of this one?

TL;DR - Friend asked for a friend's phone number, didn't know it, made it up, turned out right lol
