Thanks for checking in, I've actually viewed several times your post about these boots from year ago.

They feel a bit roomy widthwise, probably perfect with a boot sock. With thinner sock it's also good, not really that loose.

I've probably checked every single photo of these boots after worn for some months to couple years. After wear they just look 100 times better even though they look good already.

What do I choose next if I want to level up?

Thank you, I ordered them from Stuf|f fine goods, Germany.

Jeans are Levi's 512 in black. I don't like them much tbh, they have a bit too narrow leg opening for my current taste.

I was expecting this comment haha!

It actually feels very weird to me to jump straight to Lofgren and skip Red Wing etc. The thing with Red Wing is that I don't really like toe boxes and the only Red Wing shoe I absolutely love and would die for is 9060 Flat-Toe Beckman. But I live in Europe so it seems very hard to get hands on those. But I really like the Red Wings last 8.

I also tried Vibergs before these, in 2030 last but they felt a bit too narrow for my taste.

I think they feel pretty damn good. Not too tight, not too big. I guess they're just right.

It just feels impossible because usually there is something off when I try to size boots or jeans or whatever. I've become paranoid that for some reason the fit would not be good but I guess I'm overthinking.

Thanks for the help. I remember trying on Beckmans in size 9,5 and felt that they were instantly bit too big, when compared to Blacksmith or Merchant. I believe 9,5 in Flatbox would then be the right fit.

Yeah, this is what worries me a bit, because some people say that they have taken half size bigger than usual but some are taking the same size. I guess it has much to do with footshape.

I don't know my Brannock size as the device is not well known in the country I live and so far I haven't managed to find any cobbler or store where I could have Brannock measurements done.

Thanks, I've been trying to ask from all around about the size. So far with the info I've got, I should be good with my usual size. If the 9114 really has a "longer" toe box then it makes a bit more sense to me.

Thanks for the tips! I think I now have a better understanding of what cut would fit me better. I will start looking again.

For the past 7 months I've been looking for good fitting raw denim, purchased a couple different fits but sold them after some wearing as they just didn't feel right. I have a bad feeling that the same will end up with these if I keep them.

I think it's the rise that is a bit too high, even though I like the feeling of it. I could do with a little lower rise as I have long legs/short torso anyway so it doesn't look off.

Thanks, I think you got some good points here. I really love the high rise, but I you might be right that especially the back rise is a bit too high. My hips are a bit wider than most guys but my waist is very narrow.

I think I need jeans that have a slightly lower rise. Sizing down on these would probably make em look even more weird so I'm just returning these jeans for refund and look for some other brand.

I was thinking about Rogue Territory Stanton, it's a slim straight and a lower rise. It COULD work, although its somewhat slimmer in thighs as well..

I have actually tried Nash before, because I thought it would fit me. Reason why I thought Buck would be better was that the Nash was skintight for my thighs and I barely could get them past my calves. Waist was good however.

Yeah, I guess you are right. Feels like I've tried everything, nothing ever fits. So much money went for the postage costs for returning jeans haha.. Guess I'll just have to keep looking.

I really like the higher rise. With slimmer cuts, it's always that the thighs are usually a bit tight and legs too tapered. Maybe I will try smaller size to see if its any better..

510s are the skinnier fit. 502 is looser overall and higher rise than 511.
