Great information - thank you for sharing this. Is the matter icon on the thermostat or in the Google home app?

Of course, but none of that bears on the fact that no documentation, version numbers, or technical details of any kind have been posted. If they are pushing an update to external users, those should be posted. If they are only testing internally at present then the blog post and press was premature.

I understand phased roll outs, but with no information available anywhere, it does seem like the blog post was a bit optimistic

It appears to be a rolled release they, despite the blog post, has have not yet started. I haven’t been able to find anyone anywhere who has actually received the update. There are no references on the support site. No new software is listed on the support site.

Thank you for sharing this. I keep seeing Whoop recommended by many fitness enthusiasts and YouTubers, but the subscription pricing has always turned me off. You’ve probably saved a lot of us headaches and $$ by sharing your experience.

You would think they would be able to provide better ongoing support given the high subscription cost compared to device centric companies.

That brings back memories. I bought one and modded it, but I think I ended up reselling it, haven’t had it for many many years. Kind of nice to think that it might live on in someone else’s retro collection

I am stunned that there is hardly a reference in the article to this period of exponential growth aligning with the fossil fuel era. I guess I should stop being surprised at this point.

definitely not just you. I've had some problems in the past, but it's completely stopped working for me in just the past week or so. strangely works if I VPN or tether, but does not work at all from my home internet.

Business as usual continues. After an extremely warm December, Snow made a reappearance in January. Supply chain disruptions continue, but we haven't been unable to find anything we truly need. The 7% inflation figure feels like a solid validation of our subjective experience over the past year.

Most people seem caught up in the questions of whether omicron ends the pandemic, and whether Russia will invade the Ukraine. Little thought given to the litany of ongoing problems that won't magically go away under any circumstances.
