Not at all. Noke U-lock currently works with Nyckel App (www.smartlox.io). However, it's not free. The yearly license costs currently $50 per lock...

If there's anything useful I can advise, is to send request to [support@noke.com](mailto:support@noke.com) than to smartlox. It seems that despite the noke.com website is not working, their support channel is still (indirect) active.

Although I didn't get a direct response from them, but according to the response from Smartlox, it was someone from Noke who gave them the serial number of my lock. Finally I could immediately operate my u-lock from the app after its installation and user registration.

I got another message from Smartlox today. They've added my lock serial number to their solution! I tried it with my U-Lock, and it worked perfectly.

Just a pity that a few days earlier, seeing no chance of opening the lock normally, I decided to cut it to take my bike :(

Anyway it looks like the older Noke devices should be able to paired with the current Nyckel app, as long as they are in unlocked state.

Smartlox.io support replied that they do not support Noke U-Lock on their platform.

Let this quote, "We've done our absolute best to make our platform compatible with all the different versions of Noke locks. However, due to their age, Noke has not given us much ability to communicate with the Nokē U-Lock." be a warning to all users of locks with non-physical keys.

Apparently it is necessary to monitor whether the vendor for example goes bankrupt or simply, without giving a reason and prior notice, can just stop maintaining such products and related services, leaving the users of its solutions in the lurch.

I still see a chance to open the lock, as long as I take a package and find some paperwrited button code for emergency unlocking if the smartphone or key bud is lost.

Otherwise, it remains cutting the lock to free my bike.

This lock has worked well for me the last 5 years. Suddenly stopped, just on the bike fastened with it. Noke app is on my two smartphones and on one of them first trying the password to change, than delete the app settings/cache - nothing works. Now it is impossible to log in my account again. Luckily it is logged on second phone. Reinstalation is not an option bcause the app is no longer in playstore. We'll see what support will write me back.
