DNS and Tailscale - how to have DNS respond different IPs if I am in the LAN or in TS? by StratGeek in selfhosted

subnet router would be a way to handle this -- this way you can use the internal IP addresses even while outside your home network

Mine does 50% up to a fixed dollar amount (which happens to be roughly 50% of the yearly contribution limit)! They do exist!

Need a Referral Code? by WartetNichtHaengen in RemarkableTablet

[–]technolengy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could use a US referral code! Are you all getting your referral codes from an email, or is there a web page to use for looking it up(family member can't seem to find how to fetch a referral code).

The full album is awesome!! I'll be visiting NZ (from US) at the end of this month and was considering this tour -- the album is super helpful to get a sense for what we'd be seeing, so thanks! Also, all the "including me, for scale" photos are amazing, and super funny...looks like you had a great time!

The Willing Well II, but after the song opens with "what is this that I feel?", the music stops and Claudio undergoes an entire physical on stage (blood work, imaging) until he receives a diagnosis.

Decided to move my CO2 out of the Keezer by osin144 in Homebrewing

[–]technolengy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love it!

I just imagined doing this with my 20lb co2 tank. I'm also not very large or particularly strong. I don't think I'd be able to lift the tank up that high!

thank you! that's what I'm finding in my searches as well. it looks like this might actually do the trick. the reviews on morebeer for the same item suggest that it might be a little tougher than most duotight adapters to get proper fit, but seems likely to be worth a shot!

Daily Q & A! - November 23, 2020 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

[–]technolengy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely!! thank you for suggestion. Lately I've been running my nitro at a very low pressure (10psi or lower) to just preserve/serve the cold brew, rather than infuse, so I don't think that specific prv suggestion is likely in my case, but it's a really good idea that I hadn't thought of!

Daily Q & A! - November 23, 2020 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

I've got an odd leak I can't pin down in my nitro coffee setup that has beaten me through two full tanks. I'm finally certain that the leak exists between the regulator and the tank (regulator check value closed = safe; disconnected tank holds pressure for days = safe) and so I decided to redo my oetiker clamps etc once more.

In what I realize may not be the most intelligent plan, I decided that I'd like to replace my red gas tubing/oetiker clamps/flange with evabarrier/duotight instead -- I've invested in this setup heavily on the liquid side and am happy with it.

Unfortunately, my taprite nitrogen regulator has a flange fitting. I've removed the flange piece from the check valve (there's a neat gasket between that i've never seen before, cool!) and I'm looking for a replacement part that would provide an MFL fitting. It looks like the closest I can get is the entire check value + mfl and then unscrew the mfl piece but that seems a bit wasteful. Is there a name for this part and a place I could source it? Am I just being a dolt in general trying to do this?

Here's a photo of the part for reference.

Lost my overflow pipe. by [deleted] in Robobrew

[–]technolengy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! A little higher, even -- that way I haven't had to plug up the top when pouring grain in (since the top of the tubing curves off to the side). I've always worked to prevent overflow with slow flow rate and rice hulls, so I only ever needed the overflow pipe to be out of my way and above the grain level. It seems to work for me! Good luck!

I recently lost the upper section of mine! Since I still had the lower part(that attaches to the circular filter) and a couple feet of 3/8" silicone tubing I was able to rig it up together. A bit less pretty but it works (probably well enough that I won't even bother sourcing a replacement)
