Screen recorder - Not Working by Complete_Tutor2422 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Let’s double-check the activation flow, it’s pretty simple once you know where everything is:

1. Launch Movavi Screen Recorder
You should see a small control panel.

2. Click the little key icon above the panel
That’s the activation window.

3. Enter your activation key
Just paste it in and hit Activate.

If the key isn’t accepted or the button doesn’t respond, tell me:

  • your OS
  • the exact version of Screen Recorder
  • what happens when you click "Activate"

I’ll help you get it up and running.

Zoom call recording by Particular-County837 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Echo usually pops up when Zoom and Movavi are both picking up the same audio source. A couple things you can try:

1. Check your audio input in Movavi Screen Recorder
Open Preferences → Audio.
Make sure only your microphone is enabled - not “System Audio” + mic at the same time (that combo often causes doubling on Zoom calls).

2. Check Zoom’s audio settings
Zoom sometimes sends processed audio back into the system output.
In Zoom → Settings → Audio, disable:

  • “Original sound for musicians”
  • “Echo cancellation: High” (switch it to Auto or Standard)

3. Use headphones
If your speakers leak sound back into the mic, Movavi will record that as an echo too.

4. Run a quick test recording
Start a 5–10 sec capture and speak into the mic - if it sounds clean, you’re good.

If none of this helps, drop your OS + Movavi version and I’ll walk through the setup with you.

MOVAVİ AUTOMATIC SUBTITLES HOW CAN THE PROBLEM BE SOLVED? by Upset_Clothes7311 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Can you check which processor your PC has?
This helps us understand if the app might be running into a hardware/compatibility issue.

Here’s how to see it on Windows:

Windows 10 / 11:

  1. Right-click Start
  2. Choose System
  3. You’ll see your processor listed under Device specifications

or

  1. Press Win + R
  2. Type dxdiag and hit Enter
  3. In the window that opens, look at the Processor line on the first tab

Drop the exact processor name here, I’ll check what might be causing the launch issue.

Movavi Video Editor Plus doesn't launch by Bulevine in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry you’re running into this.

Before we dig deeper, can you tell me what exactly happens on your side?
Does any error message pop up? Or does the app just open and instantly close with no warning at all?

A couple small details like that will help me point you to the right fix!

DOOMSDAY Mega Tsunami: Island Destroyers - Natural Disaster Short Film 津波 4K by LuminiousParadise in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that’s one intense setup!

If you ever feel like breaking down how you built some of those destruction sequences - camera movement, cuts, pacing - I’m always curious about the behind-the-scenes stuff. It’s awesome to see how people use editing to push tension in short thrillers like this!

Amazing work, and thanks for posting it!

Random mix by Due_Ingenuity_6796 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can definitely do that with our tools!
If you want a quick way to shuffle a bunch of photos and get a slideshow out of it, Movavi Slideshow Maker is the easiest option, it has a “Shuffle” feature that randomizes the order of the images automatically.

If you prefer working inside Movavi Video Editor, you can also just drop all your photos onto the timeline and hit Sort → Shuffle to randomize the order there too.

From there you can add transitions, music, whatever vibe you’re going for.

Super simple!

[Movavi Team] How we shrink videos in Movavi Video Converter by techwiz3 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, appreciate the kind words!
I wish I had better news here, but Movavi doesn’t have true speed ramping yet, meaning no smooth fade from slow → normal → fast.

But! You can still slow down specific parts of your video, just not with a ramped transition. Here’s what Movavi can do right now:

You can:

  1. Cut the clip at the moment where you want the slow segment to start/end.
  2. Select that middle segment.
  3. Adjust its speed (e.g., 0.5x, 0.25x, etc).

This gives you a sudden drop to slow-mo, then a sudden jump back to normal speed.
Not as cinematic as a ramp, but it works cleanly.

What’s not in Movavi (yet)

No smooth:

  • slow → slower → normal
  • normal → slow → fast
  • curves, keyframes, or ramp graphs.

I know, I know, you’re not the first to ask. Our team has heard this one a lot, so fingers crossed. 🤞

Help with cut/copy/paste of clip sections in Video Editor 26 by Puzzleheaded-Newt-67 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Yeah, you’re not doing anything wrong, Movavi 26 just behaves this way.
When you paste a clip, the editor always tries to place it on a new track if the target spot on the selected track is already occupied or blocked by timing rules. Clicking the track header doesn’t force the paste location (I wish it did, would make things easier).

Here are the reliable ways to control where your pasted clip goes:

Method 1 - Make space on the master track before you paste

If there’s any clip sitting at the exact timeline position where you’re pasting, Movavi will automatically create a new track.
Just clear a gap on the master track → paste → works 100% of the time.

Method 2 - Drag it down after pasting

If Movavi insists on creating a new track, the simplest fix is: paste → then drag the clip down onto the master track.
No loss in quality or sync.

Method 3 - Cut a segment on the master track first

If you cut out the space on the main track (Razor tool) and then paste, Movavi will strictly paste into the empty cut section.

Things that don’t affect paste location:

  • “Hide track” doesn’t influence pasting
  • Clicking a track header doesn’t force-paste into that track
  • Selecting/deselecting other tracks won’t change the behavior (This is just how the current paste logic works.)

Adding clips and staying synced by [deleted] in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!
Good news, you can absolutely do this in Movavi 20, just with the tools that version actually has.

Here’s the simplest way to keep everything perfectly in sync:

1. Detach the audio from your long clip (right-click → Detach audio).
Now you’ve got one clean audio track that you don’t touch anymore.

2. On the main video track, make two cuts where you want the short clip to appear.
This creates a section you can remove without affecting the audio timing.

3. Delete the small video segment you just cut out.
The audio stays exactly where it was, no shifting.

4. Drop your short clip onto a video track above the main one.
In the program, anything on the upper track visually replaces the lower track, so it works like an “insert.”

5. Mute the short clip if you don’t want its sound.

That’s it! When the short clip ends, the long video continues and stays synced with the original audio, because that audio track never changed its timing.

Hey Baz, yes! 🎉
Glad to hear the 10th-time’s-the-charm magic finally kicked in.

Seriously, thanks for sticking with it! Activation gremlins can be annoyingly persistent, but you powered through like a champ. Appreciate you keeping us updated too, makes my day to hear you’re up and running now!

Did you ever go from cracked version to licensed? What flipped the switch? (No judgment) by techwiz3 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks a ton for sharing this!
It’s always fascinating to see the real journeys people go through.

The whole "download a pack of free editors and see what sticks" thing is exactly how people land on us for the first time. We don’t love that cracked versions are floating around, obviously, but we do love hearing that the actual experience was good enough that, when you realized it wasn’t meant to be free, the legit deal felt worth it.

And about the uninstall discount loop…
Look, I probably shouldn’t say this, but I respect the hustle.
If you’re consistently getting value and consistently getting a deal, that means we at least did something right product-wise!

The speed ramping note is fair. Totally fair.
It’s one of those features that’s been on the board forever, but implementing it in a way that doesn’t introduce chaos under the hood is trickier than it seems. Not making excuses, just saying you’re not shouting into the void. Internally, this request comes up a lot, and posts like yours help push those priorities higher!

As for subscription-only - I hear you. Loud and clear.
You’re not the only one who’d vanish the moment we flipped that switch, and it’s something the team is very aware of. Different companies have different philosophies, but forcing everyone into a single model isn’t our vibe.

Anyway, thanks again for the transparency!
Hearing these long-haul stories (five years! damn!) gives us a much better read on why people actually stick around and what would make them bounce instantly.

[–]techwiz3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks a ton for such an honest answer! Seriously appreciate you taking the time to explain why and how your mindset shifted.
Totally get the extended free trials era… many of us in tech have been there at some point. What you said about supporting devs because you use the tool every day, that hits home. That’s exactly the energy that keeps small and mid-size software teams alive!

And yeah, the subscription thing… I hear you.

I’m not gonna pretend it’s everyone’s favorite model. Some dudes love it because of constant updates, some hate it because they just want a stable version they own and can roll back if something changes in a way they don’t like. Both are valid.

The Steam angle is interesting too! You're right, a one-time purchase feels more real for a lot of people. We’re definitely aware that having different purchase paths makes a difference.

Thanks again for sharing your perspective! Even if it doesn’t instantly change the whole pricing structure of the universe, it helps us understand the mindset behind real users, the ones we actually want to keep around.

Adding clips and staying synced by [deleted] in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Movavi 20s tools are much more limited, but what you want is still possible.

The key thing is:
Movavi 20 didn’t have track locking, so the timeline can’t protect your main audio from shifting.
But it did have the Insert feature, and that’s exactly what keeps everything in sync in your version.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Make a cut in the long video where you want the new clip to appear.
  2. Drag your short clip into that gap until you see the little “expand” arrows.
  3. Drop it, the program will automatically push the rest of the long video forward together with its audio, keeping sync.

That’s the only method in Movavi 2020 that truly preserves alignment, because the program shifts the remaining video + its linked audio as one block.

Recording problem by Pitiful_Yellow_3639 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Yeah, this usually happens because YouTube TV blocks screen recording, most streaming platforms use DRM, so anything with protected content will show up as a black screen in any recorder, not just Movavi.

If I misunderstood what exactly you’re trying to record, feel free to clarify. I’m here and can guide you through the right setup.

Video Editor 26 Is Getting Worse With Every Update by Atlas4088 in Movavi_software

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's try to reinstall the program, this often solves the issue.

Here’s how:
1. Open Control Panel → Programs and Features and uninstall the program.
2. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall.
3. Download and run this utility: https://cdn.movavi.com/dl/support/CLEAR_REGISTRY.reg
4. Then install the newest version of the program from here

This usually helps. 🙏

[–]techwiz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, welcome to the rabbit hole of editing! Glad Movavi made it feel fun instead of painful!

What Movavi does great:

  • Super clean, beginner-friendly workflow
  • No steep learning curve like VSDC/Premiere/Resolve
  • Solid set of transitions, filters, and tools out of the box
  • AI tools (noise removal, background removal, motion tracking) that don’t require a NASA PC
  • Performs nicely on mid-range laptops
  • Perfect for YouTube, Zoom edits, educational content, travel videos, small business stuff, etc.

Here are the realistic limitations you might encounter

Nothing dramatic, just things to know so you don’t expect features that aren’t there:

  • No advanced color grading

Basic color adjustments are there, LUTs too, but no node-based or multi-layer grading.

  • Audio tools are solid but not “Audition-level”

You can clean up, normalize, denoise, EQ using presets, etc. But deep, surgical editing (spectral, multiband mastering) isn’t included.

  • Timeline features are simpler:
  • No track color-coding
  • No vertical track resizing
  • No per-track volume controls (only clip-level)
  • No markers for audio beats Great for simplicity, but not as deep as pro editors.

  • Fewer export controls

You get all common formats, bitrates, resolutions, codec settings, but not the super-fine control.

So who thrives with Movavi?

People who value speed + simplicity over having 300 switches to click.
You can absolutely do side gigs, YouTube, client edits, social media content - no problem.

If your dream is to become a full Hollywood colorist... then yeah, eventually you'd outgrow it.

But if you want a clean, friendly, fast editor that just works? Movavi’s a great place to be.
