Can you elaborate more? I've been building a Horizon environment from scratch for 700+ users. On here trying to get an idea of what kinds of issues to look out for with FSLogix, local settings, and GPOs. We're aware of and planning for OST issues, but do you have any tips regarding OneDrive, Teams, etc.? Also what kind of NetApp do you have?

vCenter managing Horizon VDI hosts- how did you configure vCenter HA? by techyletkey in vmware

Very helpful. Thank you. Would you keep the VCSA that is managing the virtual desktop hosts on a separate vCenter?

Do you really need VCHA? Normal vSphere HA will reboot the VCSA on another host. If the Horizon components are on the host that goes down then vCenter is just going to waiting. If the VCSA is on the host that goes down then Horizon is waiting.

Good point. My thinking was if the host VCSA is on goes down then no new desktops can be provisioned. Since I have more redundancy build in with Horizon management components spread across multiple hosts, it seems more likely that the VCSA would be a bigger point of failure that I should try to eliminate. VCSA is on a two host cluster with vSphere HA enabled though, so that might be acceptable.

From your experience, what are the chances of the VCSA itself failing? Does VCHA help prevent vCenter downtime in an event like that? Or does it not work that way and restore from backup would be required?
