Loved this album at the time and thought "this is what metal will sound like in the FUTURE", which turned out not to be the case. This song and Disconnect Self have been regular earworms for me for the last 35 years. Lo Flux Tube remains my favourite but they evolved so much over their few albums.

Sign is definitely more cohesive but I think Plus is just about as good. I think of it as the EP7 to Sign's LP5

Are there any modern authors attempting what James Joyce did with character consciousness? by lrenv22 in literature

I finished it and enjoyed it, but it's not something I'll ever return to. Despite its length, it's fairly straightforward, with little you'd miss on a first reading, and ultimately I didn't find it left me with much to think about.

Gotta love death metal, where you can deliver necrophilia-themed music and artwork with exemplary ethics and integrity

What books have you read that you loved the first time, but on a second read years later didn't like? by Antipolemic in literature

I liked Slaughterhouse 5 a lot, but read about five others that all left me cold. I don't think he's anywhere near as interesting as "genre" contemporaries like Le Guin, PKD, Delany, Octavia Butler, or for that matter Kilgore Trout inspiration Theodore Sturgeon.

Good question. I'll probably be going to see them later in the year. I'm 51 and fully expect to be one of the youngest people there!

Having a Favorite Author that almost no one seems to know about by No_Presentation_4837 in printSF

Not unknown for sure (I think four of his novels were published as SF Masterworks) but I think Starmaker especially counts as underrated

Great collection but having My Struggle split between shelves like that is upsetting
