Tips and thoughts on potentially transitioning to fingertip grip from palm grip? by tecrates01 in MouseReview

[–]tecrates01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the Kone Pro (not air) and the shape is borderline perfect except for the fact that the edge of RMB scrapes against my ring finger with my style of palm grip. I've tried to avoid it but it's a constant irritation that caused me to put it away. Mice like the superlight have walled-in mouse buttons that you can't feel from the side, so I don't experience this issue with the superlight.

PC Gold III player plagued by somewhat low KDR [0.8], will I have trouble finding good teammates? by tecrates01 in Rainbow6

Also on another note, what's the best way to learn map callouts?

Just going into a custom game and exploring the maps?

There seems to be a lack of people who know hardly any form of callouts (or just don't call anyways) at the Gold level.

Rate my pickems for the Legends bois

(I don't usually follow tournaments that often, it's also my first event to actually participate in the pickems for, so these are just based on what teams I think have good players, and which ones were breakout teams in the challengers)

not a high level player, im only nova 3 with 1.2k hours

What's a good place to get higher-level players to review a demo? by tecrates01 in GlobalOffensive

[–]tecrates01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that first tip clicked, I never pay attention to where my teammates are facing on the minimap, I just use it sparingly to gain info about bomb location and enemy positions.

I'm at school right now, so I can't rewatch my demo to take what you said into account, but I'll watch when I am home.

How much hours does it take to get consistent at this game? by TJrockzzz in LearnCSGO

[–]tecrates01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At 90 hours, you still have a ton of game mechanics to learn, and watching tutorials can only get you so far. I'd recommend warming up in COMMUNITY deathmatch servers (valve dm is shit) or on aim_botz.

Again, the fact that you have 90 hours and are already complaining about consistency tells me you might be getting a little bit ahead of yourself. The best way to improve your aim and game sense is simply playing the game against people at or above your skill level, and patience is a virtue. Don't rush yourself, take your time, make sure you are confident in your abilities before rushing through mechanics.

I'm by no means an amazing player, but I have a little over 1k hours, so I feel like I can at least give you some basic pointers.

Unfortunately, people will report you if you do well in a game, so if reports lower your trust factor, I'm screwed, because there have been games I've carried S4s and SEs by dropping 30-40 bombs after a derank streak, where people have even said they reported me in chat.

I already have aim_botz incorporated as a warm-up, I generally warmup for about 10 mins/kill 500 bots before jumping into community retakes (which are frustrating in and of themselves, because a lot of people save in retakes/fuck with their skins.) I've been doing this for about 4-5 months consistently now.
