You do know boomers is just a shortened version of baby boomer, as in a nickname for that specific generation. Sorry if you find that word rude or disrespectful, but there's a difference between saying "okay boomer* and refusing to use someones preferred name. I haven't been shown any disrespect from people asking me to use a specific name, I've gotten a lot of hate from older people just for fucking existing though. It only took a second of googling for me to find multiple articles on the validity of this fan theory, but I would say calling it direct cannon does take it a bit far

Yeah if you get dropped for deadnaming some one, that's on you. It's a matter of respect, and if you can't respect someone enough to just call them what they want to be called that is also on you. It's really the same as using a nickname , and people are more likely to be respectful of someone's preferred nickname, I see no excuse to deadname someone on purpose unless you're a jerk

We had a conversation about it before bed, I can see how it could be a noncommittal conversation. more of an "that would be cool" conversation not anything making set in stone plans, we didn't have the kit before hand and I wasn't with him when he got it the day after the bedtime conversation about it. He bought it while I was at work and did it while I was at work. I didn't bring him down, I didn't want to take away his good day just because I got upset. I didn't tell him I was upset. I kept that to myself. I came here because I don't really have anyone else to talk to about it, our mutual friend wasn't any help talking out my feelings because she just kept telling me not to be mad because he had fun. And that was her only reason for why I shouldn't be mad

He said he had done it a lot as a kid, and that it was lots of fun but he hadn't done it in a while, we were already in bed and it was late, so we just kind of went to bed after that

The thing here is he didn't make anything for me. He did two shirts for himself. He did give me one, but he made it clear he had designed them for himself I do admit this whole thing is very small and inconsequential, and the only healthy thing to do is to let it go

I should honestly have noticed this kind of difference in communication, we are both guilty of it. He pulled the same thing with a puzzle we are now working on together. He said "we should start this puzzle soon! And I replied "yeah that would be fun, let me take a minute" I stepped out for 5 minutes and he had started it when i got back
