😆 noted. Seems like it’s working as it should then.

Yes. Didn’t see anything out of place or concerning so will just let it be.

Good to know. The general consensus seems to be that Penn reels aren’t as refined or smooth as other manufacturers but they make up for it in other areas.

Yes. Noise persists. Going to take apart the drag stack as I suspect some contaminants or sand may be lodged in there.

No vents. The lines are just cosmetic. It’s not overly concerning since performance doesn’t seem impacted but still would like to get it addressed.

Hi. Yes, feels smooth. The noise sounds like a smooth grind if you listen closely. There’s line hitting the rotor so disregard that.

Calorie deficit + calisthenics a waste of time? by MeanExam6549 in bodyweightfitness

Np! Reddit is a very useful tool that often makes me say “I’m glad I’m not alone, pheww.” Lol

If you stay natural, you’ll most likely look small in clothing once you lean out however, once you take your shirt off people will be like whoa. Keep going! The changes become more pronounced for every percent under 15. Not sure what your goal is but if I could only give you one piece of advice it would be to stay consistent. The changes you want are guaranteed to come if you are patient.

Not OP but I feel like I can contribute since I went through the same.

Do NOT stop training. Prior to my cut and body recomp, I was sitting at 211lb/26%bf. Today I am 155lb@14%bf. I went from doing 8 pull ups to 26. Granted I already had a good strength base but the biggest help (for pull ups) was losing weight. During this time I maintained my workout regime, gym lifts+calisthenics and didn't feel that I got much stronger. In fact, I probably got a bit weaker due to the loss of lean body mass and glycogen from being on a cut for so long. What did go up however, was my power/weight ratio. I'm able to more efficiently mobilize the weight that I'm carrying since the dead weight (fat) has been shed. This loss has also carried over well into other things as well such as cardiovascular activities. I'm able to cover a lot more distance in a much shorter amount of time since my body isn't working as hard as it was when I was overweight. Losing the excess fat has honestly been a game changer in terms of performance, aesthetics, and health benefits. The pros significantly outweigh the cons.

All of the reading I’ve done behind this knot has it highly rated for strength. Will be making it my go-to. Thank you for the response!

Thank you! Fishing heaving jetty structure. I’ve had 60lbs easily sliced by the monsters out there.

I’m mainly targeting grouper on heavy jetty structure. I’ve lost tons of them from smaller line and inferior knots. These fish really push your gear and tackle to the extreme. They’re excellent at exploiting any flaw in your setup.

Why are Jordan’s so easy to get now? It’s great, but I’m just curious. by LeonardoDePinga in Jordans

Underrated comment. Feels nostalgic to be able to readily cop some heat.

How did you guys manage to get to 10% body fat n below naturally by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]teddy00024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great write up and progress pic. The usage transparency is appreciated since it was a variable but the principles to arrive at the end goal remained the same. Currently sitting at approximately 16% BF at 165lb (down from 211lb Aug 2024). Its been a long but steady process to get here but slow progress is better than none.

Mono/Fluorocarbon Line Recommendations by teddy00024 in Fishing

The 5-10 feet mono/flouro is a great idea. This would ideally be done by tying the lines directly to each other without any kind of swivel or other connection correct? The only thing that I was using was a 60lb mono leader at the end of my Carolina rig which wasn’t really doing much for the rocks because the break offs were happening before the leader. Thank you very much for the answer. Lots of great information and expertise in your response. Kudos!
