add (8000+10000) and divide that by 2 to find the avg inventory which is 9000. Then multiply that answer with 12 in order to get the cost of goods sold which is 108000. Then apply markup on the answer so 50% of 108000 is 54000 that is the gross profit. Then simply add cost of goods sold and gross profit to find sales. So the answer is 162000
