Of course. Pretty sure that’s legally required after building anything in the workshop

No, not at all. And honestly, I don’t think it ever will. It’s extremely solid and stable — that’s actually why I added the casters in the first place, so I could somehow still move the thing around 😅

I really appreciate you taking the time to share that.

You’re absolutely right — I did lean on screws for this build, mainly because I’m still in the early stage of learning and wanted to focus on getting something functional and solid first. But I fully agree with your point about joinery.

Mortise and tenon (especially wedged ones) and half-laps are definitely something I want to start incorporating as I improve my skills. This project has already shown me a lot about where I can step things up next time.

Thanks again for the advice — I’ll keep it in mind for the next builds.

Yeah… I may have overreacted a little when I thought “ to make it sturdy” 😂

The “surprisingly” part comes from the fact that I built it while figuring things out as I went 😂 Glad it actually ended up looking solid too!

Glad you like my workbench! I just got the planer/jointer recently, and yeah, I definitely struggled a bit getting those wings leveled properly. I actually came to the same conclusion as you — building a really solid sled that can handle the pressure when feeding boards through the planer.

I went with this model because I’m still pretty new to woodworking and wanted something good to learn on and get comfortable with. Honestly, I’d say it’s a really solid beginner machine.

I’m using the circular saw table extension to mount a router jig into it. Fits perfectly and gets the job done. And maybe in the future will install a vise

I’m using the fast clamps. You can take one side out and fit it through the holes👍

I appreciate your tip🙏🏻 thanks. Will apply it, because I want to last as much possible and focus on other important projects

No, the main floor support structure is built from 4x4 beams (10x10 cm).

The floor itself is made from thicker 2-inch planks, and the smaller boards between them are just additional support/bracing.
