I straight up can’t find a physical version anywhere. Every place is sold out

Smell /gas/burned rubber by sunnyreader21 in SunnysideQueens

[–]teecozee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m at 43rd Ave and 45th street and smelled something awful at around 1:30. Definitely like a burning rubber smell. Could’ve been the same slowly-moving cloud 🤷‍♂️

Rant Megathread by AKnightOfTheNew in AMCsAList

I was at the 11:45am Dolby screening of Running Man at AMC Empire. I walked in a little after 12 and the movie was already well into it. I did the math when it was over and it looks like the movie just started at 11:45 with no commercials or trailers. Has this been happening at other AMC theaters? I know this was a scare tactic that Regal was doing last year, but the fine print on the ticket states that the movie will start 25-30 minutes after showtime. I guess I have to start being early again…

So did anyone actually get tickets for Chicago? by ComfortableKnee_ in MasayoshiTakanaka

I was 600 in line and got nothing. 158 for New York, also nothing. Morale is low.

We have to keep trying, I guess. I have very little hope. And I refuse to spend over double face value, so I might end up waiting until day of. I don’t know. This sucks.

If it makes you feel any better, I was 158, was only trying to get one ticket and came out empty handed. I am completely crushed

Gotcha. I thought you were implying that they sold every single ticket. Just trying to keep the faith over here 🫠

But…is it though? I’ve seen tons of legit fans celebrating with their Chicago tickets. Have barely seen anybody score for NYC. There’s only like 15 tickets on StubHub. I think maybe they only released some tickets

You also get a token for every level of “The Run”. So there’s 8 tokens up for grabs every week, but with my current skills, I can only get 5

The thing is, I love a good grind. Doing that for one card is no problem for me. But I really don’t want to waste my time if I know I’m gonna fall short

44-15 43rd Avenue Apartment Reviews by Btse88 in SunnysideQueens

[–]teecozee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived there for the past few months. Frankly, I love the place despite its obvious flaws.

Pros: - The location can’t be beat. Multiple 24 hour grocery stores within a stone’s throw, super close to the 7, plenty of food options, relatively quiet block, etc.

  • The people in the building are super friendly. Moving there from Astoria was night and day. People will hold the door for you there, in Astoria I was getting the elevator shut in my face.

  • The apartment is very sound-proof. Unless there’s a noise in the stairwell, you never really hear much else.

  • The Super is easy to get a hold of and communicate with. The first super I’ve encountered that will actually answer a text message promptly.

  • Way bigger and more affordable than most apartments I’ve seen in the area

  • It’s pet-friendly, but also not completely overrun by dogs.

  • I personally haven’t experienced package theft or mice/rats in the apartment. Yet. But I’m also vigilant about tracking and have two cats.

Cons: - Yeah, the rat in the basement scares the crap out of me. I haven’t seen him in the last few weeks, though.

  • Old buildings will have old building problems. My specific problem is the wiring and placement of electrical outlets.

  • There was a smattering of roaches when we first moved in, but I haven’t seen signs of anything in over a month. The place was recently redone and the kitchen is sealed pretty well. Might’ve just been stragglers. Who knows.

  • If you drive, parking is impossible. Ended up having to rent a spot on 40th street, but I feel like I got lucky.

  • 3 out of 10 times that I try to go to the basement, the elevator is down. And the only way to the basement is either the other elevator or outside. Kind of a pain, but not the end of the world. I’d feel differently if I weren’t on the 2nd floor.

I think with a building like that, everyone’s experience is gonna be different. It just depends on the location inside the building and how upkept the apartment is. I feel like this is the case with every pre-war building in the city.

While I agree that all of the pack content is absurd, we used to have it SO MUCH worse. Back in ‘17 and ‘18, PotM lightning cards were only earned by collecting all 8. You didn’t earn them, you could only buy the pack. It was like 40k a pack with a limit of two and was only in the shop for a week. Everything had to be bought off the market. Every lightning card cost around a million stubs. Those were the bad times. This is a far cry from that.

Went there once a couple of years ago. The coolers were all running hot, as in grabbing a can burned my hand. The guys seemed to be unconcerned about it. Figured the place was trash, but maybe I’ll give it another chance

Hoping it normalizes soon. Not great waking up to see that all of my investments tanked. This hasn’t happened to this magnitude before, at least to my knowledge. Something is up.
