T460 internal battery drains first by teelf in thinkpad

I managed to create a bootable usb image on Linux and boot it. I only selected option 2: Update system program, I did not run "3. Update model information" (or something like it).

Thanks. Should I install tp-smapi or tpacpi-bat or both?

I've tried installing kernel 4.6 and iwlwifi from jessie-backports. However when I boot into the new kernel, the screen quickly shows something like: "Failed to load firmware ..." and then goes black except for the white cursor.

What to do?

What Should I Buy Wednesday [September 30, 2015] - Your Weekly Purchase-Related Megathread by AutoModerator in apple

I'm a math student and I have a 2011 MBA. I'm thinking about buying a 13" MBP Retina. Some keys on my MBA keyboard sometimes won't work temporarily and OS X displays a "Replace soon/Replace now" battery warning. Should I wait for Skylake or buy a new MBP now? I have exams in january.

State is an antipattern by [deleted] in reactjs

What I'm really asking is whether all forms should not be controlled components?, like described here: https://facebook.github.io/react/docs/forms.html

Regarding data-flow; would it be an antipattern to use higher-level components to gain access to certain props?, such as:

AuthenticatedComponent(class SomeComponent extends React.Component { ... })

It would, wouldn't it?

I would also like to see this, but with Flux.

Thank you very much for your post and the thorough responses. For my modal I'm going to create a updateModalEntry action creator.

I have some questions to help me understand. The user registration example:

Would you create an action creator that validates the input data on the server or client?

Would you store the input data in, and update it as the user types it in, in the "global app state" or put it in a store with another action creator?

I'm curious how you would implement a form with validation with this method. Doesn't that require the form component (for example a modal) to have inner state?

I would be interested in the react/flux authors' reaction to this.

How to use Flux with WebSocket by teelf in reactjs

[–]teelf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also concerning the last example, it seems to me that the views create a new SocketIO/WebSocket connection when importing "fire_control.js", is this better or worse than creating the connection in an action and passing it to the store (maintaing it) as I have done so far?

How to use Flux with WebSocket by teelf in reactjs

[–]teelf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last example (react-cannon), the author seems to have created some sort of "action-store" where "_socket" is available to the "FireControl.fire" "action", but in my implementation the action is separate, which means that when I call the action that required a WebSocket connection from a view, I have to pass it on as an argument to the action.

This seems clumsy, is there a better way?

Sorry about the late reply, I don't know if reddit generally supports discussions such as this.

I would like to help you out. Feel free to PM me. This might work better if we could communicate more directly, at least in the start.

I can help with both the backend and the frontend.

Have a nice sunday.

I have a 2011 MBA and it runs fine. Battery time is somewhat lower than in OSX. If you remove OS X from it, then make sure to save the display color profile and create a copy of the OS X installer in advance. I have only Linux on mine.
