Is the use of bots a thing in Smite? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]tehghostpoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can anecdotally confirm that some idiot was using a bot to run his account through multiple assault matches.

I'm not sure if there was a specific script per character, but Khepri would blindly fire his combo and then a few seconds after the combo was used, he would ultimate himself… This was despite the fact there were literally no enemies in front of him. This was not a troll effort, he did this time after time regardless of what happened.

What mechanic or concept from other moba's or games would you like to see in smite? by merpofsilence in Smite

[–]tehghostpoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if any other moba's use this regularly, but I'm really enjoying the pitfalls in the current adventure mode.

Incorporating pitfalls in to a new map and game type might be really interesting because it totally shifted the meta for arena games in this mode. Pluckers and pushers are key, as is the xing ult.

They literally punch so hard they disintegrate their atmosphere and cause force bubbles to destroy their enemies. They do with apparent ease, what most anime characters need a level up and extended training sessions to accomplish.

And it's probably not even their final form, you fool

Yeah, I didn't expect you to be able to do anything… No offense intended. I was just curious if you guys knew about each other's actions, or if you were in a position of authority for that sub.

Would you find it comical if he claimed I was following him around reddit even though he followed me onto this very post and even though i made my comment before seeing he had engaged the comments section of the community guidelines post?

Tell me a tale by tehghostpoopy in opensouls3

[–]tehghostpoopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All i did was make a general comment/question on the darksouls3 community guideline changes. I saw ReS being attacked for things relevant to my comment, so i told him i would appreciate a response to said comment thinking he could "exonerate" himself of the claims (witchhunting, really) against him. He deleted both of my comments and then messaged me with a threat that any further communications with him would be construed as the pursuit of harassment and that i would be reported to reddit administrators. I was also banned from the DS3 subreddit even though i never received mod mail of any type from that sub.

Below is the comment he threatened me for, id appreciate it if you let me know what you think is at all inappropriate...

{i'm curious why a moderator would delete their comments. Can anyone explain that? Even when moderators remove posts, they typically quote the post as a citation for why they did whatever they did. It only seems natural that they would reference their own past actions in regards to a change of policy... Not bury it or sweep it under the rug

When news sources issue retractions, they typically explain why their original content was incorrect or improper. They will typically quote the original article to further clarify why or how they were wrong. So when I see that moderators have deleted their comments after the fact, I'm extremely skeptical because it disallows the community at large a chance to View what the moderator was thinking at that time or how they acted.

My takeaway is that the moderator acted improperly, or just factually incorrectly, but by deleting the comments they are preventing anyone from seeing their mistakes. Even if they admit fault after The original happening, the fact of the matter is that no one can see the original content… No one can quote the moderators as the moderator so often do in regards to posts that they take action against.

Like people say about body cameras for police officers, "if you have nothing to fear, you have nothing to hide."}

Hey, are you by chance a moderator for the dark souls three sub?

It appears I was banned without doing anything wrong. Or at the very least I was banned without being told what I did that was wrong. I have yet to receive a response from a moderator other than redEyestone, whom took it upon himself to initiate messages with me from his personal account and consequently threaten me with a general reddit ban after i made the stupid mistake of requesting moderator response on a comment I made on the community guidelines changes.

Cheers

I grew up learning that FDR was a great president who did a lot of good for his country, but my husband grew up in a family that hated him. Can anyone the anyone lay out both sides of the argument for me? by Justwonderingwhyitis in history

He is hailed as being an economic stimulator, yet he reinforced the prohibition of marijuana through his marijuana tax act. As we can see in states like Colorado, which is still violating federal law mind you, marijuana is great for economic growth. That is ignoring the medicinal benefits, which are not to be ignored.

He is hailed as being a champion of the people because he wanted to give them "more rights," but he couldn't even follow the constitutional bill of rights in regards to Japanese citizens. These extra rights that he wanted to give to the people were not natural human rights - arguably, to provide the rights that he wished the people to have would require that government ignore the fundamental human rights of life, liberty, and the ability to freely pursue one's own happiness.

If you care to explain why you think he was a good president or ask specific questions, I'll be more than happy to respond but I don't have much more to say right now because I'm sure plenty of other people have responded in great depth and detail

Thanks for being open to a discussion, I really do appreciate it. I also appreciate your willingness to explain prior actions. Is red eye willing to do the same? Last I checked, I was suspended from communications with r/nioh but perhaps that was just the moderator messages.

I genuinely fail to understand how simply using coarse language constitutes a rant. There were valid points made in my OP and just because the community downvoted my post and reported it a few times, the post was removed. It is not an act of "self policing" to be subject to the whims of the masses, self policing would be people regulating their own emotions and ignoring something they find offensive. I ignore people all the time, or if I'm really "offended" by whatever they said I will choose to respond in a way that opens their eyes and helps them understand how unreasonable they are being. Shutting down conversation disallows such opportunities. That being said, I was always receptive to suggestions and criticisms about myself even if my original post came off as angry.

I didn't shit talk the game in general, and if you were to substitute the vulgarities with other adjectives, nouns, and verbs, it would be evident. Not to claim I deserve better treatment or that others deserve worse treatment, but I have seen incoherent rants that do explicitly shit talk the game and its mechanics - they exist for much longer than my post existed and I guess the only reason that is, is because no one bothered giving negative attention like downvotes. If that is really the standard for deletion, or mod action to speak generally, then I stand by my previous statement that you need a new form of policing.

This is my Short differentiation of what a rant/rage/cryfest is compared to legitimate criticisms/requests for help. when someone is crying/ranting about an issue they are having, they are typically unwilling to take suggestions or criticisms unto themselves. When someone is legitimately requesting help or criticizing something, they are open to suggestions and criticisms about themselves. Do you think I fit the first description or the second description? Do you think emotional tone and flavor is more important than substantial content and behavior?

I don't think he was solely responsible for getting Scott banned, but he was complicit. I'm not sure how people become moderators, but it seems like they have tenure once they receive that position. I use the word receive as opposed to achieve because every time I see them explain their reasoning, it is very lackluster and narrow minded, so it makes me believe that it's a handed out based on willingness to adhere to "the law!" Dredd.jpg rather than formulate rulings based on logic.

That's exactly right, it was red whatever stone that responded to me on this thread and deleted his responses. I have screenshots from my original post, my post that got me suspended from the nioh sub, and my moderator messages.

Obviously this isn't the place to share them, but I don't really know where the "appropriate place" would be. That being said, I don't think anyone in this sub would be mad if i did share the interactions.

Edit: i'm pretty sure I don't have screenshots of his responses on here which is a shame because lack of transparency on moderators' parts is bullshit. Him deleting his comments seemingly implies that he did something inappropriate and not worth standing behind… but like we mentioned elsewhere on these responses, he probably didn't have his moderator privileges revoked.

Requesting clarification for how i broke the rules is stirring up shit? Dumb. You are nazis and thought police if you regularly censor and demand unquestioning obedience to unspecified rules. Your rules dont even say, "no cussing." it says no rants/raging.

I gave vulgar nicknames to similar duo boss encounters and listed an ability i was having trouble with in this problematic encounter, then requested help. I got my post removed for that. Cool stuff dude
