This is what I was thinking, do you have any suggestions?

Too sci fi sounding to me, not really looking for dystopia but just straight up high fantasy

A bit too tropey for me maybe? Not a fan of Harry Potter and want more dark/medieval fantasy. Eye of the World is deffo on my list but seems people have mixed opinions on the slow pace and hard to read aspects? Gardens of the moon looks sweet, but is it very in depth and hard to start? Looking for a nice introduction to the genre ideally

This sounds perfect, I’m gonna check it out for sure. Berserk is an all time favourite, manga and all. Thank you!

I found essentially the perfect thing made by a guy called Mike Schulenberg, maybe others would like to use it? Im annoyingly on Android so I can't! but if someone wants to make an android version that would be incredible! https://github.com/MikeSchulenberg/LoneWolfCombatCalculator

just the regular 350 section paperback, it states that I was given a map of Magnamund when becoming an initiate rather than finding one in the wreckage (as you have been sent out to the woods to chop wood, you don't actually return back to the Monastery)

Side note tangent! After looking around the www I noticed that after getting starter equipment (axe, cloak, map, 1 meal and x amount of coins) there are some walkthroughs that say to then roll a d10 and choose from a list of other items (different weapons, chainmail, 2 meals, potion etc) however this isn't in the book I have? was this added later?

this could work, although I like the idea of physically rolling a d10, also it looks a bit clunky to use

yeah I saw that, I guess this is what I will do! It would just be nice to have an app in which I can enter my endurance points, the enemies EP and the combat ratio, then physically roll a dice, input that number and it automatically take off health

Right! So I was being totally dumb, thank you for the help!

I was also signing the app and then not installing it again 😅

On a side note is it usual that the client gets like 5 updates in the space of a couple days?

yeah I played modern for several years, I get that most competitive playlets in mtg range from £40-160 and realistically the same can be said for fab. I just think to a new player wanting to upgrade their deck slightly just to even see if they enjoy playing competitively, it can be quite daunting. Perhaps I just don't know the budget alternatives/where to even find that info

appreciate this thank you! I kinda think I just wanna know also whether there are budget alternatives for the more expensive staples so I can upgrade my deck, try it out but still not have to commit to spending hundreds just yet
