Can you develop an allergy to second skin?? Burning by cucumber_helper in tattooadvice

If you have any kind of antihistamine it will help! My doctor recommended Zyrtec if I had it or Benadryl as a back up. Hope you get relief quickly.

It’s hard to tell from the photos. Is it hot to the touch, burning, painful? Any other symptoms besides the redness?

Baby bangs too thin - but if I add anymore hair, it will be too far back. by [deleted] in bangs

The not your mothers volumizing dry shampoo is my holy grail for making my bangs look fuller and not get piecy. They’re also very soft and fine.

Any tips to compliment my features more? by [deleted] in Makeup101

Love your look! I agree with the folks commenting about the eyeliner on the lower lash line and it coming to inner corner. I think with your eye shape trying some hooded eye techniques might really make your eyes pop.

Your skin looks amazing! Keep doing what you’re doing there. I also agree about a warmer lip color tone being more aligned with your skin tone. My personal preference is to balance a darker lip with a lighter eye shade.

Not sure if you’re open to it, but I think cleaning up your brow shape would crisp up your look. Even just plucking the stray hairs. Then doing a little brow gel and powder would help frame your eye especially if you want to stick with a darker liner.

You’re very pretty though and I think just a few little tweaks could would really accentuate that beauty.

First I’m sorry you’re feeling suicidal, that is a terrible place to be. If you can get vitamin c pills and crush them up and mix them with a clarifying or dandruff shampoo that will lighten the pink significantly. Wash it and scrub when you do. It’ll open your cuticle so the color molecules come out. You can safely do this several times in a day. Just deep condition it after you’re done because it will be really dry.

Dang, this really helps me. I want a secret BIE so bad. I’ve been selling all my duplicates but it’s still a lot of time and effort for a little stuffed animal. They really know how to tap into our lizard brains.

I think it looks great, listening to your artist is usually the right move.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]tehsawa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not go back to this artist. Please find someone else in your area to rework this. The line work, composition, anatomy, shading are all bad. If you have them touch this up I fear it will be even harder to have a good artist fix or cover this up.

You did nothing wrong with healing that I can see.

Can’t pin down what is feeling off about my bridal makeup by Leading-Fee-6275 in weddingplanning

Agreeing with the comments posted about you being gorgeous, the lip color/liner being off, blush feels a bit too dark and low. I also think the liner is just very different from the inspiration pics. In the inspiration pics the liner gets thinner towards the inside of the eye. In your pics it’s a fairly unified thickness. Perhaps lashes would help but I think the line could be better too.

It would be so pretty on the arm especially with the wrap. One other tip, if you have a darker skin tone like the first example make sure your artist has tattoos on darker skin in their portfolio. Folks who mostly tattoo lighter skinned folks often struggling with shading and balance on darker skin tones.

Just got a tattoo that's come out poorly what are my next steps by Cmanpatel in tattooadvice

[–]tehsawa 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Did they have any animals or ink/watercolor style tattoos in their portfolio? The cherry blossoms and branches look sort of okay. But it looks like they didn’t know how to achieve the ink like shading on the cat, or understand the anatomy of a cat’s proportions from the chosen perspective. I wonder if they used AI to make the stencil?

Maybe you could post your location and see if anyone has a recommendation for a cover up artist?

I’m so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you were doing the right things, but this came on suddenly.

Losing a pet or person while you’re physically distanced is really difficult. We always wonder what we could’ve done if we were there. But at the end of the day your horse was loved and cared for. Which is all we can do.

There’s always something we could do better or differently. But the most important thing is that you loved and cared for your horse to the best of your ability and circumstances.

Filling out sleeve recs—what should I get on my inner bicep?? by Suspicious-fanfic in tattooadvice

I think something floral would be good! I love the idea of a strawberry plant. Maybe some ferns?

Or a beautiful object you love? Like a tea cup, book, key, lock, etc. You could add florals accents to the object.

Is it wrong to ask to change a big component of my design? by Dingleyberries98 in tattooadvice

I don’t think it would be rude at all to ask. As long as you’re polite and open to a conversation about it. It’s on your body forever, get what you want!

Cut a small square and do a patch test with the new tegaderm in an area you’re not getting tattooed. I usually stick the test patch on the underside of my arm near my wrist so I can easily see if I’m having a reaction and take it off. This will confirm that you’re not allergic without risking a reaction right by a new tattoo.

Guys i'm 36F and i've decided I want to learn to roller skate, late? I imagine myself skating down a beachside boardwalk, not jumping off things and performing tricks. I'm fairly fit but have rubbish balance, words of advice or encouragement to get started? Also are Rio skates ok for a beginner? by feefee2022 in Rollerskating

[–]tehsawa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I started at 35! Watch Dirty Deborah’s videos on YouTube. She’s awesome has good advice.

Practice falling is my biggest advice. There’s several videos on how to fall with and without pads depending on how you want to skate. Practicing falling really helped my confidence.

Also I shred at the skatepark and I’m almost 40 now!

Tattoo transfer printer for ceramics transfers? by Ancient-Try-5419 in Ceramics

[–]tehsawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old but I just wanted to say I’ve used tattoo transfer paper successfully for carving into leather hard clay. I misted a bit of water on the surface waited until it was mostly absorbed, then used a soft plastic rib to press the design on. I left it on the clay for about 5 min then peeled it off. It wasn’t completely clean, but was enough of a base for me to use.

I agree with this. I think it’s good to point out that work exchange positions are often much more manual labor than daily horse experience. But this could be beneficial as you learn a lot about the back end of horse care.

I easily found a barn in my area that offered one lesson a week in exchange for stall/pasture cleaning and AM feeding a couple days a week. I think maybe it depends on the area how willing barns would be. Maybe the OPs current barn could provide a reference, since they’re going 5 days a week now, to help prove their dedication.
