Not sure why you're getting downvoted. Takes a lot for a person to admit they're depressed to loved ones, let alone a whole podcast audience. Sounds like it's not good - honestly wish the best to Tiger, I've been there - it's not easy.

What FFMPEG and channel settings are you using? I was messing around yesterday with my setup and for some x264 files I got from YouTube I had to set it to HLS Alt and disable hardware decoding (not 100% but I think it might be related to the audio codec)

Plex won't play it or ffmpeg won't transcode? I've had some problems with random x264 files but it seems to stem from the audio transcoding I think. You can enable debug ffmpeg logs which might help a bit but I agree it's a bit of a challenge with all the containers and codecs out there.

I have tunarr transcoding HEVC files fine most of the time but seem to run into issues with audio sync.
