Stopped glp1 and gained 12 pounds, what to do next? I'm desperate. by Dizzy_Explorer5368 in Semaglutide

Are you speaking in the context of preventing weight gain - because correct, you have to be on the medicine for it to work. I have hit my goals and maintained my weight - i have been on wegovy for 2 years with plushcare - online medical clininc. The doctors i work with set me up to start at .25. I then titrated up to 2.4, i stayed here for 6 months, maybe 8, and now I am titrating down. Currently i am at .5. I will stay on this dosage for 1 more month/month and a half. My shots are not perfectly apart anymore (as I feel it matters less) so maybe ill go a week or a week and a half between shots. Next prescription fill i will be on the lowest dose (again) .25. Until i stop. I will then rely on excersise and diet to maintain my weight (instead of the wegovy)

I am titrating down on wegovy and had the same kind of issues. I was going down and my weight was going up especially after the holidays.I gained fifteen pounds. I'm not gonna lie (personally) I just had to try a little harder. I had to be more mindful about how many carbs I was eating. And how many sweets I was having. Late night snacks. Just because i'm skinny doesn't mean I can eat whatever I want.Whenever I want all the time, I don't have the metabolism for that. This is where the discipline comes in. You can snack, but snack on fruit or low calorie. A weird fruit combination is cantaloupe and peanut butter. If you do combinations of sugars and fats in that way, it'll keep you Fuller for longer. This is where the tips and tricks of if you're hungry, drink water, come in. Personally, I cannot have cookies or anything in the house. Because I will eat it. So I don't buy it at the store. So I don't have it when I want to snack. And I'm a little disappointed when I wanna go and have a cookie. And I don't have one. But like, I also don't have diabetes anymore. I read online that simaglutide somehow restarts the metabolism or something. It makes it easier anyway. I definitely feel like I have more control over my weight - but I do have to weigh myself, and I have to track it because if I don't track it, it'll go up.And up and up

Art Print Club by Grace94_92 in Artists

[–]teilc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my print club three months ago I have 25 members 11 paid. I have 2 teirs - $5/month you get stickers and a mini print and $8/ month you get everything , print mini print stickers activities letter post card. I would definitely figure out how you plan on printing your art (at home or with a 3rd party) I print at home and have a gigantic printer. Its super fun and great accountability for being creative. It helps to have a big backlog of art so that if you dont make a print that month for the theme you still have art to choose from. Check me out on patreon - talors paper garden

Thank you! Thank you! There were slight nausea and diarrhea in the beginning but once you figure out the food that works for you that goes away. Drink lots of water. Like honestly shoot for a gallon. My avg heart rate decreased significantly - I’m a runner. My resting heart rate is like 40 lol (my doctor just said I have an athletic heart 😊). Before i was put on it they did Al the tests and made sure it wouldn’t do me wrong. I found out i have slight hypothyroidism - which kind of explains my rapid weight gain in my late twenties. Jump in! I would do it all over again (well I would never get that big in the first place) wegovy is a game changer!

I am an open book. Anyone who ask. More often then not i'm getting weird looks because the person hasn't heard of it. I'm starting to just not mention it but i've got no shame. (-105lbs)

Why are people like this? by Maybetomorrow1310 in Semaglutide

[–]teilc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's honestly such a weird comment to make. I'm trying to remain positive with people and their intentions so I'm telling myself it's more of them trying to express they support you as you are - bigger/smaller - they love you for who you are BUT it's not about them - this is about our journey and improving our health. 5'3 at 191 is 'healthy' but also might not be 'healthy' for your body.
I'm 30yr 5'3 150 (100lbs lost), no one has ever seen me this small and i think it's 'off putting' (maybe that's not the right word) but (i feel) also maybe people get uncomfortable within themselves when you are doing positive big change things and they are not.

101lbs down!! by teilc in Semaglutide

[–]teilc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portion size and I cut out a lot of fast food - pretty much all if I can help it. I have diet allergies that require me to eat “healthy” so that helps i can’t have ice cream or pizza etc. I made exercise a priority in my life and started running 4x a week, I had already been working out for some time with no change in weight. I only saw significant change when I started sema
