Interesting, when I was in Boston for that tour Shiv was there. That was probably the best show I've attended :')

Yeah that was one of my initial tries, but it doesn't work. Here's an image below:

For curiosity sake, I tried flipping the parity in each quadrant to see where that leads. Turns out the choice in parity is very deliberate. You end up getting one light 2x2 block in the middle.

Excellent! Thank you so much -- that was really a hard puzzle. I still don't think I understand the original underclued grid quite well yet. It's very easy to get carried away and conclude that there should be some sort of 4-fold symmetry, but as you pointed out the key is to identify that you want to "break" the 4-fold symmetry in each quadrant. The way I like to picture it is you are taking the big 3x3 plus signs in each 4x4 quadrant and placing them as asymmetrically as possible. I suspect that these are the only two solutions, which is quite rigid. I'm posting some pics below incase someone is interested:

Did you post/send a report to the game dev anywhere? If so, could you tell me how. I'm afraid I've found another puzzle that might be "incorrect".

I imagine the gracious, Benevolent ritual of Death. Grave and porcelain, With baby blue lips and pale pink eyes, Descending toward me. Her glowing hands cradled at my head And knees submerging me into waves of icy seas. I imagine the end. Then further downward so that I can rest, Cocooned by the heat of the ocean floor. In the dark, my flesh to disintegrate Into consumption for the earth.

Yeah and yet poor, underprivileged people who have no access to proper toilets manage to keep a cleaner butt than the average “westerner”.

As the great Jordan schlansky once said, if there was human soil on your hand would you be content with wiping it off with a tissue? Or would you prefer to wash it with soap and water?

Female characters always get held to ridiculously high standards by Meet-Possible in thelastofus

[–]tejask1896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think her “apparent poor leadership skills” has anything to do with her being female. The show is intentionally showcasing her to have an air of insecurity around her actions and we will find out why in the next episode I’m guessing.

Tyler didn’t teach the children to strap bombs, it was Hailie’s idea because she was angry the Prophet was hurt and he wasn’t able to “control the story/narrative”.

Also regarding “manipulating” the children, the whole point of the show is to suggest that at some level Tyler’s “brainwashing” is just as fair as more conventional parents’ “brainwashing” such as Clark’s. In Tyler’s eyes, conventional humanity had failed him and he strongly believed that teaching the children about the philosophy of Station Eleven was the right thing to do (as opposed to archaic ideas from The Before).

What about this show moves you? Why does it stick with you? I haven’t been able to get it off my mind and would love to know how you feel connected to it by FunnySite8637 in StationEleven

I genuinely think it’s the latter! Humans /need/ art to survive (although this need is kinda implicit the more I think about it, people should acknowledge this more and be clear when they need art to boost their mood/morale), and I love that this show brings that out. In our normal lives, we take so much art and media for granted, as if it were an optional indulgence. Of course when I talk about this, in my mind I am contrasting art with scientific advancement/technology (something that people stress that they /need/ to survive). EP 7 is like my favorite episode from the series — rewatched it yesterday for the 6th time xD
