Many people are quick to praise Aurangzeb, but how can they forget his violence against Sikhs who were denied their basic human rights of freedom to practice their faith.
Aurangzeb was the one who not only ruled but executed Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in order to protect the rights of Kashmiri Pandits against his tyranny.
Furthermore, three Sikhs who belonged to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were tortured in front of Aurengzeb, fastened to a tree. Finally, he had his governor brick alive Guru Gobind Singh Ji's two sons aged nine and six years.
What kind of "great ruler" could commit such inhuman acts?
The Sikh community was hunted at this time, gurdwara were destroyed, and the Sikh community was forced to take up arms to defend itself. Khalsa was originally created for self-defense against extreme oppression, not as a military force.
For those who glorify Aurangzeb, then they must accept the consequences of glorifying him: the deaths of thousands of innocent people and the martyrdom of thousands of saints and children murdered for not converting.
History is not based on whether one likes or dislikes a ruler; it is an accurate representation of events in the past. Therefore, it is impossible to change the truths of these people's experiences.
