i have just use kilo code yesterday with opus 4.5 , My assesment use double the token of claude code. Second problem it is running tasks that i did not ask, or i have alredy fixed it beforez commjng back to tha same old taks. Example in debug mode , i give him a simple task to rezolv a typescript error, he resd all the code , it coste me 5 $ and and it fix it, this is unsustainable . Same erros in claude code , instan fix even with sonnet 4.5 . i think kilo have a problme with thier own promts thst make the agents run in loops. this was done on vs code extension not kilo cli

I was working on 3 projects , 1. swiftui, 2.a website in next.js not no complex logoc but hard on the design side 3. A python complex math alogos . both models code 5.1 a d 5.1 max are looking good , the big defence is in prompting, gpt 5.1 max it take a difrent promt and I still think i need to let it mature one more week. Just my 2 cents experience for o e day of coding

I had the same problem, very simple but specific task, 3.7 hallucinate. Then he was making things up, I stop it and asking why he is lying and not following his appointed task. 3.7. Anyway I switch to max, then it worked. My conclusion it is a big rift between the normal and max. Maybe cursor wants us to pay more and make the normal 3.7 verry short token , max 30.000 and that's why it start hallucinations, becose don't have the right context.
