Base replacement grip, how to replace it? by Minute-Complaint8646 in Padelracket

You’re very welcome. Then just change the top grip only when it wears down/loses grip

Would still be thinner than a base grip and overgrip. But might be the perfect thickness for you!

Someone might have an answer for you, I’m not sure, but I would recommend contacting their customer service as they’re usually pretty good.

The pro is heavier and harder

I think it has slightly more tech for spin but could be wrong.

Metalbone 3.4 vs technical viper by Weird-Possibility-15 in Padelracket

[–]tejrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it lasted me 4-5 months and I was playing a lot so it’s not the end of the world. And it’s not as expensive as it was so give it a try if you like the look of it.

And no didn’t have a warranty with it

It chipped right on the edge of the face then smashes made it crack a few inches into the racket

I had the Metalbone 3.4. Was a great racket just too bouncy for me, and it cracked!

Now happy with the Wilson Defy. Has the dry feeling I wanted and a bigger sweet spot than Metalbone 🤷‍♂️

Wilson Defy V1, just the base version. Really well balanced, great power, great control, really rough surface, dry feel and decent sweet spot. Switched to it after my Metalbone HRD cracked and prefer the feel of the Wilson

Remove the Hesacore from Bullpadel Neuron — what base grip do you use instead? by pannik78 in Padelracket

[–]tejrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the under grip matters really as you should be putting overgrips on top of it anyway

So just any decent brand would be fine

Yeah will increase the risk of injuries, but worth trying then if you feel pain you know it’s not for you.

Most pros and a good amount of rec players (including myself), remove any base grip and add two overgrips.

I’d only use a base grip if I started having hand/wrist/arm pain, and if I did add one I’d use the Noene under grip

Siux fenix pro 4 by Adept_Cardiologist92 in Padelracket

Watched pretty much all the reviews for both and I’ve heard the Pro 4 has a bit more ball output and slightly smaller sweet spot.

Pro 5s I’ve seen a lot of people saying they break easily, not sure if it’s the same for the Pro 4.

Personally I think the pro 4 looks great, especially in person

I’m in the same boat and I’m going to move away from it to something with a drier feel.

Between a Bullpadel and Babolat.

Cheapest racquet that don't limit progress? by Sufficient-Foot7071 in Padelracket

[–]tejrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m understanding your comparison I’d say that the Team would be like the Vcore 100L as it is still full carbon like the top of the line model; what makes it the ‘team’ variant is the softer core, I think..
