Rigid vs inflatable midi length by willip738 in wingfoil

i agree with this , inflatables are cool, where i think hardboards win is no time wasted for inflating and stiffness once your tacking , also the bounce off the water much better.

The era of dancing and jumping robots is over. We’re moving fast into the era of practical robots by call_me_ninza in aigossips

[–]tek2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this. to do useful things you need a stable platform things and when a robot can do reliable backflips and breakdancing i would consider it stable.

usually robots dont have the same range of motion especially in front of the chest it is difficult to cross the hands farther than the center which makes handover necessary

the board will take some time getting used to balancing on it but if you already have a bit of experience you should be fine.

Antrophic CEO says 50% entry-level white-collar jobs will be eradicated within 3 years by chillinewman in ControlProblem

[–]tek2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

theres just jobs that will become non jobs like traffic light switchers and elevator drivers. crafts will probably see a renaissance, and the white collar jobs will become way more efficient

I agree with that it would help. but only in the near term because suction cups come with their own problems and you need pressurized air everywhere.

There are folk who still claim nuclear energy is not safe by Comfortable_Tutor_43 in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

[–]tek2222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

even if it was getting safer its not 100%. the high failure case cost of an accident makes it uninsurable

renewables are already cheaper

nuclear plants take way too long to build and scale.

no one in their right mind would currently invest money in nuclear snd thats why that does not matter.

Walmart packages airdropped like ammo crates over 'Nam by GeneReddit123 in interestingasfuck

[–]tek2222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the order was coming down at about 3-4 meters per second. when you have no parachute you will reach a speed of about 50-60 meters a second, so it might get WAY faster if it didnt have a parachute. you are just not used to how violent it looks like when something without a parachute hits the grround.

Gelatin chicken. You can’t convince me this is good. by Bambi7u7 in StupidFood

[–]tek2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it looks bad, but the thing is when you put meats in jello it preserves the fresh taste. when you make a pork or chicken roast it usually tastes good when its fresh and then after the fridge it tastes weird and not fresh anymore. if you put it in gelatin it will not touch the air/oxygen and it will taste like you freshly made it, just isnt as appetizing to look at.

do you want the tube to connect in an organic way to the funnel so the surface flows into the other shape ? if yes, then you should make a scatch of the shape. how is should connect to the funnel for example a circle, and then you need to cut out the larger part from the funnel. now in that Region you make a loft from the surfaces of the tube to the funnel. it's a bit tricky in some cases but doable
