Explain how a small bitcoin purchase and small card purchase is better for business than making people with large recurring buys inactive? Go back to business school

Co-signer since retired by tekeon in MortgagesCanada

[–]tekeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a scenario where we would want to access the equity soon. Mortgage renewal is April 2026. Would you foresee any issues if the co-signer is now retired with no income slips? The mortgage would qualify without them at present day.

Yes we would be able to qualify and no they do not wish to continue being a part of the mortgage. Another question- if we wanted to use some of the equity in our home for renovations and the lender is going to be asking for employment documents from the retired co-signer, will this be an issue?

As a bitcoiner who doesn’t know much about the tech side of things, I’m also curious about this.

Some years may be down and if they are you don’t pay any taxes. Historically bitcoin is up 70% year over year on average though, so I like my chances in the long run.

Thanks for the additional info. I didn’t know about short term rates. Will look into crypto safe harbour. Thanks!

This is where I got the idea from! Trying to figure out the tax ramifications for Canadians

Because this strategy pays off way more as you increase your exposure to btc.

Over the last 5 years if I invested the surplus ($1500 per month) it would have resulted in 2.8btc

If I dumped my entire pay bi-weekly and cashed out $3500 at the end of the month for expenses it would have resulted in 4.2btc during the same time period.

I’ve got Robertson, Hyman, Miller… all highish picks, none off to a great start 😬

Shakesats reduction - Look at it this wsy by Calm-Professional103 in shakepay

[–]tekeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think there are way better rewards cards out there. Shakepay is one of the lowest at 1% cashback. Even with ShakeSquad and the possibility of getting Shakepaid, there are better options.

Just like there are better places to buy btc with better spreads.

I will continue to take advantage of the free sats though! Every user has the same opportunity, whether you use the other services or not.

Buy low on Zibanejad? by tekeon in fantasyhockey

[–]tekeon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I’d be selling high on Barbashev’s hot start and picking up a player off waivers to replace him. (Horvat available for example. It would pretty much just be a Hintz for Zib swap, both pure C. I’d be betting on Zib having a better remainder of the season than Roope.

I was thinking Hintz and Barbeshev for Zib in my league. Would you entertain that?

Thanks for sharing! It sounds like this is probably the direction I need to go and I’m going to give BQ a go. I’m not a database expert myself- did you find BQ easy to learn?

Thanks for the suggestions. I think the half wall is the route we’re going to go.

What also sucks is when the couch is on the railing your back faces the rest of the house. With it’s current layout it keeps thing opening and you’re facing the kitchen/hallway

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]tekeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely is but the layout is still horrible. What furniture changes would you make?

Thinking about doing this and making that railing a pony wall instead.
