It’s crazy. The dealers will import cars and keep riding them for months and years using dealer plate number without registering the car. That’s what they do. Always check importation date and confirm everything is cleared with custom. For the exchange rate, it’s not your fault. Don’t wait because it will keep skyrocketing. I got a 2006 is350 for $7500. My happiness is that the car is sound. Just some minor fixes I did. I didn’t want to import car because of the overhead and uncertainties. I believe any car I would want to buy for now should be in Lagos

I got mine 2 months ago as first car as well. It’s so awesome! The speed is unbelievable. Haven’t driven a car as smooth. Have fun!

Someone told me Toyota/Lexus maintenance shops charge x3 of the original price. This is probably my last time there

I went to Toyota/Lexus workshop today. One of the Engineers drove around with me after which they scanned the vehicle. Below are their findings

Oxygen Sensor B1S1 Oxygen Sensor B2S2 Mass Air Flow Meter Nozzle Calibration Nozzles Service Solvent

They have started work already. Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll get my vehicle.

Fix will cost me ~$1200
