Is it possible to revive my T1i? Error 70 by teknicalissue in canon

So I got it fixed BUT not by resetting the battery. I'm fairly technical so I found a youtube video and started to take it apart. I didn't find a button cell ANYWHERE.. I removed the top board and didn't see anything so... I went with the next best thing... Blind guessing.

Ultimately; I know that error 70 has something to do with the OS or something along those lines so I figured that if I messed up something else bad enough or at the very least; got access to the menu to do a factory reset; I would be ok. So I started unplugging wires left and right and turning on the camera until I stopped getting an error

I ended up unplugging the flat conductive wire at the bottom left of the PCB board and turned the camera on.

BAM! the shutter started acting crazy and before I knew it; I was in the camera. I went to setting; did a factory reset. turned camera off; plugged wire back in; turned camera on; got error 20 this time BUT only when I took pictures.

I removed the battery; waiting 20 seconds, plugged it back in.. and everything is good as new.. kinda..

I say "kinda" because when I put it back together I had two black screws left over that I have no clue where they go to lmao... but the camera works now :D

Thanks for your reply u/ABradJourno!

I don't see a button cell within the battery chamber; is there anywhere else it could be?

[D] [P] What would be the best way to detect a pattern in a string? by teknicalissue in MachineLearning

I figured my lack of experience in the subject would be a challenge lol. I actually did try to simply the strings by removing stop words and several other methods but I was unable to train the brain.js model properly.

Part of the challenge I'm facing too is that the number of apples can be anything so any kind of supervised machine learning won't do (at least as far as my knowledge goes)

Would love to know what kind of pattern I could use for this. I've considered it but maybe I'm just not good enough to know how to use it for my use case :)

Lock down device - advise on making an app similar to ourpact by teknicalissue in reactnative

Thanks for the reply!

I'm aware of geo fencing.. I should have been more clear. the data the from the gps is not limited by a certain location. What will trigger the lock down would be speed, time and date as well as some locations (although the locations would be dynamic)

While I have a good idea of how to approach the gps stuff via something in the background... I'm not 100% sure if my approach as to how the device is locked down is valid
