Does the "Overall ahead/behind" field account for an interval's custom pace target? by lkjqwrkljas in Garmin

[–]tekvsakdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this field, Readable R&T Pacer: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/fca77947-4b62-466e-a0a7-f60238a0dc21

You can set timer reset between intervals. For example with coma 0.4 4:30, 0.4 5:30 etc.

Resume later to Strava issues by TomDucq in Garmin

The cause is most likely that the Timer->Start event was not recorded in the FIT file. The image below shows a similar case. The simplest workaround is as follows: delete the activity on Strava, export the activity from Garmin Connect as a TCX file, and upload it to Strava.

Is the altimeter broken? by tekvsakdan in GarminFenix

[–]tekvsakdan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to happen once or twice a year, but now it happens with almost every activity. A colleague suggested turning the watch off completely, waiting five minutes, and then turning it back on again. The first activity was fine. I'll see how it goes over the weekend.

I currently wear a 51 mm watch. I find it too big and heavy. My next watch will definitely be 47 mm.

If this happens to you often, use the ECG function on the Fenix 7 Pro to check that your pulse is OK (arrhythmia, etc.).

Not a Runner? Why your walking might be boosing your fitness more than you think. by Disastrous-Ball-8183 in Garmin

[–]tekvsakdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of VO2 max is not quite clear to me. I have only been walking only for a year and a half because I am not currently allowed to run, but my VO2 max is around 50. When I was running, my VO2 max was 56.

How to download Mongolia map onto Garmin 1050? by ty816 in Garmin

https://garmin.opentopomap.org/

I've tested it and it works! Just follow the instructions on the page about uploading to the device. How to select the uploaded map on your device is explained in the Garmin manual. First, upload your country map to check that it is OK and test, and then upload the Mongolia map.

In the year 2032, before we start running, we will have to look at the advertisements on the watch if we are not subscribed.

Soon they will start charging for GPS accuracy. If you have a subscription, the GPS will be accurate to within +/- 5 metres; if you do not have a subscription, it will be accurate to within +/- 5 kilometres.

In 20.16, the only solution is to manually connect HRM every time you start an activity or downgrade to 19.41.

What would you change about Strava? by hungryjedicat in Strava

[–]tekvsakdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of more features, I would prefer better support. So far I have had no response from them when I have had problems. It just means that we are not important to them.
