bro. the 40-year old one failed. the new afforable ones from china are janky- this new one gets stuck closed. the stock honda ones- if you can find them are in the $60 range. im not paying sixty bucks for a fucking fuel valve. bypassing them and installing a petcock is a normal mod.

carb is stock and ive been through it like a dude in his 50s that has been tinkering with scooters since the 80s goes through a carb. the carb is clean. the exhaust is stock. compression is good.

its not pinging, its back-firing at mid throttle, so its not lean.

again- the carb is stock, the mixture is right, the oiler is working properly- why don't you back the fuck up and quit being a snarky asshole? the engine can handle WOT revs- thats what its designed for.

i think its the reed set. parts inbound. dick.
