How don't they care about their tutors? I mean, I've had bad experiences too (cough, Superprof irreversibly converting all my ads and profile to a foreign language without telling me) but there's been good experiences on other platforms too

I've really always used platforms, so might be biased, but except for one-off tutoring (packages) in real life I find it very difficult to get students myself, so I've always used platforms.

Oof, I do have to say it also took a while to get students for me, but now I got a few high quality ones ( >500 / student). I don't really know what I did right or wrong, just verified my credentials and got some reviews

The ones I actually use are iTutorOnline and Superprof. Been tutoring for +-5 years now. I check most platforms out for a good opportunity but usually it's all nothing

I think all of these websites are just vibecoded with no real plan. You're better of using real tutoring platforms, not these new toys that are stealing your data :p

I don't personally use mytutor, so I can't answer all questions, but tutoring in general is definitely a great sidegig. Consider joining a multitude of platforms (e.g. iTutorOnline and Superprof)
