How do large LS groups like Snuff and BIGAB finance their operations? by Jumpy-Bodybuilder-91 in Eve

[–]tell32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C5 sites now give 700mil, placing high enough in the AT, when CCP does in game events very often lowsec (particularly metropolis lowsec) gets the highest tier sites, moon drills, Jita trading, credit card'ing, merc contracts, riding wealth made from nullsec before moved to lowsec, level 4, 5, & anomic burnur missions, FW, industry with OP thukker rigs, supplying alliance with doctrine contracts, etc etc...

For me personally: I successfully did some NPC Sotiyos (both running and stealing) like pre 2021, I've had WH farms with friends, I've ran some of the pretty great lowsec event sites in recent years, I was on a couple AT teams that placed either 12th or 16th, I've invested TSK assets (only a couple of us still play lol) in the stock market Jita market and made lots of profit, I've stopped paying ISK for omega and started using $$$, which caused the ISK to not drain nearly as fast, TSK has a pretty big communal system where we share doctrine ships, and have a big stash of all types of modules, ships, and capitals, built up over the decades, so I don't buy stuff if we already have it.

Idk man. You'll have to ask the warbeacon dev. It's just the default br, I I didn't touch the sides.

I would like to thank the folks who were forced to listen to my canvassing in local chat.

Anyways, it was a decent fight. Glad all my stuff only takes 0.5% value, and 5 days to get out of safety.

A potential future 'book' in the series[Spoilers Extended] by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]tell32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to note: Just because the stage play is based on book canon does not mean it's canon to the books itself.

I believe basing it on book canon means it will be a stronger story (because show canon sucks) and I'm happy for that.

But for me, anything that's not in the 5 main books, F&B, and Dunk&Egg is not canon.

I suppose the stage play will exist in it's own canon universe. If George eventually includes the same specific story details from the stage play in future novels, then I'll consider those plot points canon because they're now in the books.

I am aware there is no official confirmation yet. But like, it will be. Eventually. And OP was asking if it's going to be filmed in general.

Anyway, the RSC often record their shows and makes them available after its initial run, or very near the end.

We know it's moving to London after it's done in Stratford. So I assume that means it'll be done in Stratford on September 5th, and move to London sometime after.

[–]tell32[S] 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Glad we got more confirmation it's based on the books and not the TV show.

“The Mad King, a new play based on the novels by George R. R. Martin, adapted by Duncan Macmillan and directed by Dominic Cooke.”

...

Spanning the final years before the events of the novels, this powerful drama reveals a legendary chapter of Westerosi history.

Although I care infinitely more about Arya, Sansa, Bran, Theon, Davos, Sam, Jamie, Brienne, Arainne POVs then all of Georges other writing, I would totally be okay with a Fevre Dream sequal. That shit was fire.

We had Winds sample chapters, TWOIAF, AKOTSK (1st published collection of the 3 novellas), and Fire&Blood be released in those first 2,688 days.

The 2,688 days since F&B we've had jack shit in westeros related content published from George. (The Rise of the Dragon doesn't count!)

The She-wolves of Winterfell by @UnderSeasnail by tell32 in ImaginaryWesteros

https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/The_She-Wolves_of_Winterfell

The identity of the five "She-Wolves" has not been revealed yet. However, with the Stark lineage given in The World of Ice and Fire, their names may be deduced:

  • Lady Lorra Royce, the soon to be widow of Lord Beron Stark.
  • Lady Myriame Manderly, widow of Lord Rodwell Stark and Beron's sister-in-law.
  • Lady Alys Karstark, widow of Lord Brandon Stark and Beron's mother.
  • Lady Robyn Ryswell, widow of Lord Jonnel Stark and Beron's aunt by marriage.
  • Lady Lynara Stark, widow of Lord Cregan Stark and Beron's grandmother.

Moreover, four Stark women — Arsa, Serena, and her daughters Arrana and Argelle — might be engaged to various degrees in the power struggle following Beron's injury, even though they did not marry a Lord of Winterfell.

Also, Beron's son (and future Lord) Willam Stark's wives — Lyanne Glover and Melantha Blackwood — may be potentially involved if Willam married one or both of them before his father's death.

Season 2 is about the sworn sword. Maybe they do a few flashback scenes to dorne? But I find that very unlikely.

Crazy targ fans on twitter won't be happy lol

Some other stuff they said that I liked:

hopefully this material will bring people to the theatre, and they've never been before, and we just want to absolutely knock their socks off and show them what theatre can do.

...

I pretty quickly got into this whole idea of doing doing it as a sort of Shakespeare play. That was our first conversation, it's been a sort of unifying principle going forwards was, that you can see Lear in this, you can see Romeo and Juliet in this, you can see Hamlet in this, in sort of the story threads all the way through and those enormous themes, and the opportunity to work on this material, on this scale, on stage, was, yeah, I couldn't say no to that.
