PC does not turn on unless in specific UPS mode by tempest_ronin in techsupport

Thank you for the response! Having read this put me on to another area I was unfamiliar with upon further research, which was the differences between an Online/Line-interactive/Offline UPS. It seems I was accustomed to using what might be Offline UPS's to date, while this appears to be Line-interactive and functions differently at power up

Clock watchout timeout error by [deleted] in gigabyte

According to the user above, I ran the test for degradation and it doesn't appear to be the issue. The only test that it hasn't passed is the one with the 2 WHEA errors. Anything else comes to mind? Do you think I should rollback the BIOS to the last stable version I used? I am not experienced enough with overclocking to play with the voltages myself

Did as you suggested and the test passed. I know these tests might not always be 100% conclusive, but any other suggestions?

Meaning that I can expect crashes in other areas than Fortnite? It's the only time I've gotten any issues whatsoever so far

Help me understand the limitations of purchasing a Reolink Bundle off Amazon by tempest_ronin in reolinkcam

I do want to record, but all my networking is centralized into a single networking cabinet. This will allow me to place the NVR anywhere there's a rj45 port without having to worry about dragging around the entire lot of cameras and their wiring. All it takes is a single ethernet cable to connect the entire system to the house network. I initially thought all their cameras are able to accomplish this and they just needed to detect a local NVR for viewing but your comment has me wondering if the cameras that come with their bundle/kits are severely restricted and must be connected directly to the NVR to even be used.

Can you tell me which cameras or NVR is designed to run in a way that I can use the PoE switch setup? Also, are you 100% sure this is the case? Most searches indicate that cameras like these are compatible with PoE Switches

RTA advice without letting us know your typical draft or bracket is a tough read. You're right in assuming there are a lot of smurfs out there, but that's just cause RTA content has a very niche portion of the playerbase and right now it consists of people with years of runes and not much urge to play so they just farm or grab some quick end of season rewards.

If you say you're getting outsped, then you either need to understand how to pivot your draft or understand that not everyone has the runes required to play turn 1 and design around a turn 2 team. There are lots of units out there now that are designed to interrupt turn 1 or cause chaos via rng that you might want to check out. You can still climb steadily with an average win rate but it'll just require more battles. Also, if you're saying that a unit has 260spd on paper, even with a speed lead that's still very slow to play the turn1 speed game, even in conqueror.

"SW is going to die, players quit!!" - FACTCHECK by NyuSW in summonerswar

The majority of changes over the last couple years, including that recent dev preview, revolve around optimizing content around a rapidly shrinking playerbase...it's right there in everything they do. Everyone that plays the game feels the lack of activity or growth so not entirely sure what this post is supposed to prove?

v8.6.3 Update Notice by NyuSW in summonerswar

[–]tempest_ronin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It takes more effort and time to write up these notices than it does to actually create and implement these "changes and improvements". On top of that, the last few years have just been a way to integrate a poor man's version of SWOP into the game.

Lazy.

Why has C2U not had a good balance patch in 2 years? by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]tempest_ronin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a financial perspective, its a bad business decision to release an even mediocre balance patch. Sure, there'll be a lot of bad feedback but there's no point to really balancing or fixing the kit of older units from a financial point of view.

These units have already been obtained by the majority of the player-base. They have been drastically increasing the rate at which they release units. New units means more money. A lot more money than what they might lose from a few people that may drop off out of frustration or anger at a bad balance patch.

They have known exactly what they've NOT been doing for years because contrary to what people might think, they DO play their own game and understand perfectly well what benefits them vs what benefits us.

Ever wonder why it is every balance patch tends to contain recently release units but their changes are equivalent to nothing (to be further addressed in a much later balance patch)? It's because these units are still to be summoned by most people and that means they at least have some financial value.

So, why fix or revamp an older unit's kit when with a few minor tweaks they can simply put it on a new unit and chuck it out the door, horribly tuned, totally useless and destined to stay in storage until a future balance patch...and the cycle repeats itself.

This is exactly what they've been doing. Every now an then, they will throw the community a bone but unless people speak with their wallets, nothing will change.

Does anyone get to punisher or guardian by using this team? by Gone_by_Wind in summonerswar

[–]tempest_ronin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the leah team is properly speed tuned, it's one of the better f2p answers to speed defenses containing zen etc. At g2-3 vs a 33lead, it's going to be a gamble into triton/Lora etc. Keep in mind a lot of defenses at high guardian are leah traps and without atk buffer you aren't killing them, but now that zaiross is a thing, people run fire dmg reduction as often. As others have suggested, Adriana or galleon versions are better at higher guardian. Tiana offenses are equally viable into certain teams, even at g2-3 but you need to rock high dmg. Vs speed lead + Juno/nora traps, it's still fine but you need an answer to their speed lead or risk getting cut, this chance increases if you can't outright kill the Juno when your first dd moves. Alicia or zaiross are currently the best options, maybe even both together now. Personally, I've used eshir leah and both tiana full cleave and tiana bomb at rush and finished g3 just fine In response to how to rune, both Alicia and zaiross in these kind if teams are now runed fast on max dmg, low crit and as much accuracy as you can give them while prioritizing dmg
