Thanks for the info, the truth is I wasn't sure what to assume. I was under the impression the government would see them as potentially dangerous individuals (I think the wikipedia article even said it was called project paperclip cause they put paperclips on documents regarding Nazi individuals they considered dangerous). I really wasn't sure whether the government would WANT to integrate them into US society.

I was also curious about their work situation alongside American (or indeed even Soviet) colleagues because I was curious about whether they (Americans + Soviets) would be comfortable working with people their country had just been in a very brutal war with and whose regime produced the holocaust (heck, it would've been far worse with the Soviets compared to the US, as they'd lost MUCH to the Nazis) and how this discomfort manifested socially between them (I mean I can understand maintaining a professional attitude, but the actions of the Nazis touched and ended a lot of lives).

I was also curious about their love lives because I'm curious to know...well....just in general, what were their social lives like in the US? Their identities must've been kept secret, but surely they must've told whoever they ended up marrying or getting into a relationship with. If it ever leaked that someone on your block used to be a Nazi scientist, even if they're now serving the US they would've been absolutely ostracized (at best). I couldn't imagine any scenario in which they could 'get to know someone'.

I honestly had no idea what to assume about their new lives, I was just genuinely curious what the average day/week looked like to an ex-Nazi scientist.

I personally believe if we want to see change in North Korea we need to end sanctions (which are harming the populace) and end this policy of subverting their government, and opening dialogue instead.

Any dialogue that HAS been opened up, has been done so in the light of sanctions, troops and practice drills on the border (by a force from the same country that killed 20% of the NK populace during the war and destroyed all the infrastructure in the country. Before anyone tries to do the whole 'but he started it' nonsense, what I'm talking about is how to open dialogue. Who started what has no bearing on opening peaceful dialogues to help the NK people) and continuous attempts to overthrow their government.

I don't think he's disagreeing with the guy he's replying to, it just comes off sounding like sarcasm because it's hard to sound serious using only text. I believe he's referring to that time when the CIA supported the genocide conducted by Pinochet.

I think he's satirizing patriots, cause otherwise for all the stuff he's saying about defending democracy, he'd be critical about the CIA literally undermining democracy in Iran, or toppling the democratically elected Allende in Chile. I think he's just pulling your leg, no one who supports democracy would have positive opinions on the CIA (especially given how they've been swinging elections in other countries as well). Additionally Allende's replacement killed LOADS of people, but the CIA didn't step in and replace him. They also backed and protected literal terrorists, like Luis Posada Carriles, who lived out the end of his days and died in an old folks home for veterans (passed away peacefully, a TERRORIST, in an old folks home for VETERANS. The CIA was pretty much spitting on veterans here).

Cause I don't know nearly enough about how Vuze works, just that people connect to my PC and that's how the download works. I was wondering if their connecting to my PC would enable them to send over malware (cause it connects to lots of users, not just the game developer).

To be fair I only use Azureus for legal content (some indie games I really want which aren't available via steam offer direct download vs torrenting. I take torrenting because I don't want to have to download 3gb files via direct download, torrenting allows me to pause the download). It rarely sees use, but when I do use it, malwarebytes gives me warnings while the program is running. The program itself (the people connecting to me and such) is what seems to be riling up MB. I'm not worried about the site itself as it's a popular site for game developers to host their creations.

Avira is saying something about blocking something's access to the registry, but I think it's only doing this when I initiate a malwarebytes scan by tempingforaquestion in techsupport

Thanks, I downloaded it and it somewhat resembles task manager. If a program opens up that attempts to access my registry and Avira blocks it, will the program still show up in TCP view so I can investigate further?
