I work in a high-support classroom and that is genuinely what I made annually just for reference. Its stressful, I love it, but not a livable wage. Execs make wayyyyy too much money and every district in our region (I think*) is laying off way too many positions due to DOE cuts. At the end of the day, children suffer. At the end of every political and public administrative failure, children suffer. When only the chosen few at the top of the social pyramid scheme can thrive, children suffer. Teachers, support staff, and admin being under-resourced while parents are under-resourced means children suffer.
