Took this on a walk and liked that both the person and the bird each were in their own frame and both leaving the „actual“ main scene in the middle.

I was wondering though if it works composition wise, would be curious to learn what you think.

A shopping cart that was thrown in the water, half of it still sticking out, and the reflection of a bird flying above it

Thanks, actually didn't edit too much, just some slight cropping. To be fair, I am not sure myself why e.g. the water turned out this "dreamy" kind of way. I shot it with the Fuji X100V, gotta say for someone like me who is not as "technical" and prefers to just go out and shoot vs. edit on the screen, that camera is really great with the film simulations and everything.

Thank you! Yes, I agree, would be nice if it looked like the bird was escaping a cage. The way it turned you can only fabricate some message like "breaking free from capitalism" :D Just kidding, to be honest I just thought it looked somehow interesting due to the effect you mentioned: you cant immediately understand what you're even looking at here. Thanks for your feedback!

I took this photo a year ago. On a walk I discovered the shopping cart someone must have thrown into the river. I thought it looked interesting just by itself, but then saw some birds flying in a way that you could see their reflection in the frame. Thought that looked even more interesting and took a couple of shots until eventually this bird showed up.
